You're probably right. Can anyone remember the prices the last season in the NLS? £12 Can see them going half way then. £13.50!! Anyway, whatever happens for the rest of this season, I look forward to looking forward to going again.

I don't see them going down if we survive and we want to up the playing budget they will need to increase but next year if we want to be strong in NS they will need to stay where they are

We'd honestly be better off going back part time in the National South. Just look how we struggle attracting full time players at this level....it will be even tougher in the league below & we will just end up with some of the worst available full time players.
Surely it be better to have the pick of best available part time players compared to the worst available full time??

We have the 5th best supported club in the league why are we better off in the National South. Yes we need to improve on the field but Harrogate Solihull and others are doing ok. Seems to me we seem to be talking down our club

Practically all the clubs doing well are either ex-League, with gates two or three times ours, and all the League infrastructure already in place, or are having unsustainable amounts of money pumped into them to get them into the League.
The only real exception appears to be Sutton - but they have that other, very rare, advantage, a truly exceptional manager. Without him, they'd be down with us trying to survive every season.
That's, in essence, the NL. It's not the top of the non-league pyramid, it's the '5th division' of the EFL, masquerading as the top of the non-league pyramid.

Just a thought. It seems to me that that clubs rise has been too fast too soon? Perhaps time to sit back and consolidate both team wise and financially ? We will be back in the real The Football League soon. All the best to the fans, players , directors and staff for the New Year. COYS The answer to the question you've asked is, with what little I know of the running of the club "Yes it would be". However my answer to the different question 'Would relegation actually be a disastrous* thing?' would be a "No".
*disastrous can be changed to any similar word of your choice, such as catastrophic

I remember when we were struggling in the Ryman Premier and facing relegation during our last season at swamplands, and people commenting "we played much better as a kent league side"...
Okay nobody wants to see us relegated, but all I am saying is, it has been a lot worse, even in the not so distant past

While it is understandable to refer back to disasterous times of not that long ago, we should be looking forwards now and making every attempt to stay in this league. As others have already said, go down and a different team will be needed, with another one again when/if we get promoted. I worry that the Club have learned very little since promotion, with the same problems evident the whole time. Survive and a corporate plan to stay here, comfortably, in the NLP is essential. No more loaners, an experienced manager and a playing budget sufficient to attract ambitious folk, not someone else's cast offs. If that is not affordable, then dropping down to the NLS, in order perhaps to grow a few players of our own via the youth teams is maybe the best option. What is certainly not needed is another season like this one and the one before. Strong home form is vital!
