Well done to all Stones players today. Certainly nice to read the result after a big Toby Carvery. I just hope we continue to play with some self belief. There is hope yet.

Just got back to the hotel after today’s game, what a fantastic performance by each and every player in a Amber shirt today, they all worked their bloody socks off, McLennan had yet another great game and he is becoming a very good addition to the team, I felt confident every time the ball was played towards him, another player who played really well and was probably my man of the match was Jake Robinson, who was everywhere and was a real nuisance to the Hartlepool defence, his 2 assists were quality and I can see him only getting better, I’m not going to get carried away and I realise it’s only a single win but believe me if we can play with that confidence and work rate we will be very hard to be beat, I believe that all supporters ever want is evidence that the team has put 100% in regardless of a win or loss and today that was evident, well done to those supporters who made the journey north

I'm looking forward to being completely wrong about Robinson!

I would love to be so wrong about Robinson and see him scoring goals in NL as he had done in lower divisions and today gives hope for that. Come on Jake!

People seem to forget that he played well over 200 games in the football league. Heck he actually had a better goal scoring record then Pigott and we know how well he turned out!

It's 2 out of 3. We are going up, said we are going up. Too early?

It's an unusual way of doing things but give credit to the managers cos our players roasted them... ...NWS slinks quietly off into the dark night

People seem to forget that he played well over 200 games in the football league. Heck he actually had a better goal scoring record then Pigott and we know how well he turned out! I obviously should do a bit of homework before spouting opinions! I was under the impression that his experience was mostly non-league. Also staggered that he is 32 - he looks about 12! However... If you break that down by EFL divisions (all competitions), you get: Championship - apps 40 goals 3 goal ratio 0.1 League One - apps 108 goals 19 goal ratio 0.2 League Two - apps 166 goals 29 goal ratio 0.2 Total - apps 314 goals 51 goal ratio 0.2Not bad, but hardly setting the world on fire. I can't find any reliable/complete stats for his non-league career at the moment, but what I've come up with so far is: Nat South* - apps 154 goals 75 ratio 0.5 Conf/NL - apps 18 goals 4 ratio 0.2(*Nat South stats may only include league appearances - and may not all be NS) So, on that basis (assuming you can predict anything from all this!), we can expect about 1 goal every 5 games.

Well compared to some of the strikers we've had in recent years, such as Delano, i'll take his record and assists yesterday all day long.

Kent Online says he made a good save in the first half.

Listening to Stoneslive, one error, when he went walk about and was caught off his line, but otherwise sounded fine and judging by the numbers of times it was said, has a 'long kick upfield'. Hopefully, he will have gained a lot of confidence from his debut
