Shame Robinson is cup tied for next weekend so we only have Romaine left as a striker. Wonder if we will try and get a striker in this week as we can’t rely on Romaine and Robinson for the rest of the season.

Great result, shame I couldn’t make it!
Our next 2 league games are pivotal. Maidenhead won yesterday so a win on our Tuesday night game for either side would have massive implications. Daggers on the Saturday will be tough and they’ve had some good results lately but at least a point will be key.
The morale boost from yesterday to the team will be huge. And I think we will still have to get a decent replacement for Cassidy but positive signs none the less.
For those that were there, did Cassidy celebrate his goal?

According to reports he did not celebrate

Just got back to the hotel after today’s game, what a fantastic performance by each and every player in a Amber shirt today, they all worked their bloody socks off, McLennan had yet another great game and he is becoming a very good addition to the team, I felt confident every time the ball was played towards him, another player who played really well and was probably my man of the match was Jake Robinson, who was everywhere and was a real nuisance to the Hartlepool defence, his 2 assists were quality and I can see him only getting better, I’m not going to get carried away and I realise it’s only a single win but believe me if we can play with that confidence and work rate we will be very hard to be beat, I believe that all supporters ever want is evidence that the team has put 100% in regardless of a win or loss and today that was evident, well done to those supporters who made the journey north Good post Toon. If anything, poor prep by Hartlepool, who did expect, or couldn't cope with Robinsons searing pace and self confidence. Thought Wassmer was an absolute rock at the back as well. Great to be in an away end with smiley happy people

Easy to look back with a glowing feeling after a win, but I thought Hartlepool was a great place to visit. Everything you need ( Station, Rat Race, Spoons, Football Ground, Museums x 2. Budget Hotels x 2 ) within a concentrated area. People friendly etc. I especially appreciated the welcome from a couple of pissed up local lads, who heckled me as I was walking up from the station to the hotel. Due to the clanking of trains, wind whipping through the marina, thick North East accent etc. it was difficult to pick up everything, but I think I was referred to as ' f****ng Poirot ' , which was really funny. Cheers Lads, your ambassador role with 'Destination Hartlepool' is secure ……..

Porky: if Hartlepool taught one thing it’s that I am too tall to be the 1800’s Royal Navy🤣

Great day out yesterday. Near ideal driving conditions for the time of the year. Found a good pub for lunch about 9 miles out of Hartlepool. Back in Maidstone about 9.40. Oh, and we won too. Robinson my MoTM by a mile. If its not a contradiction I thought he managed to keep us up the pitch whilst also tracking their runners where necessary. Clearly wanted to shoot on sight which, whilst not successful yesterday, is a refreshing change for this season. Based on that performance those who rubbished him here after only seeing a few minutes of him are looking very silly and should be apologising. After that win at another National league away ground we debated on the journey home whether we have now won at more National League away grounds than we haven't across the three seasons? We reckon we have now played league games away at 32 grounds since promotion with Harrogate and Chesterfield to come this season. In case anyone is mildly interested I'll post our answer later this morning.

Great win lads, now keep it going.!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would have helped if your lot hadn't lost a three goal lead and then had a penalty saved by a defender as goalie.

In case anyone is mildly interested I'll post our answer later this morning. Our win yesterday was at the 17th different away National League ground.
Wins at: Aldershot, Barnet, Barrow, Boreham Wood, Braintree, Chester, Dagenham, Eastleigh, Gateshead, Halifax, Hartlepool, Macclesfield, North Ferriby Utd, Sutton, Torquay, Woking & Wrexham could add to that list this season: Bromley, Leyton Orient, & Solihull Moors plus: Chesterfield & Harrogate to complete the 34 teams.
Why 34 teams? 23 this season + 11 changes across the last 2 seasons with Braintree being relegated then promoted back.
