So in your opinion Daveu who is the manager capable and also available to take this club forward. Not really sure there is one at the moment. That's why I'd like to see Tristan and Simon given a chance, even if they do sound like characters in a Wagnerian opera. More Shakespearian than Wagnerian. I would have said - Tristan and Simon are dead. Still, a nice little cultural reference, all the same. Oddly, Walton and Lewis sounds more like a TV detective series...

I was thinking of Tristan and Isolde.

JDL was thinking of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern for some reason, apparently.

JDL was thinking of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern for some reason, apparently. To the mildly dyslexic it made sense.

"Tristan and Simon" - I'm sure I saw that at an open air production at Hever Castle in the Summer of 2002. Or were they the pair that did a version of "Unchained melody". Now I'm confused.

I’m another astonished at the way Robinson is being talked about . What has the poor sod done wrong ? Barely 2 starts and scored in one of them, a few mins on Tuesday and some are slaughtering him already. Why ? I don’t get it . He’s a proven scorer so deserves a settling in period like any new player. Not his fault we’re in the position we are is it. I’d imagine he would be exactly the player we would need for next season should the worst happen ? The way our players are shot down on here before they even get going is frankly embarrassing .
Next manager. I know we won’t get him but I would Love Neil Smith from Bromley . What a job he does every year .

Robinson, Romain or any other striker rely on service from the midfield! We have played a majority of the season hoofing the ball at head height to strikers! The only person who has managed to fashion goals from nothing is Turgott and had he been fit on the 1st Jan he would already have gone! We could sign Harry Kane, but without sorting a balanced midfield he would probably struggle. Our troubles are deep rooted, but given a couple of signings and a little luck we could nick a few games here and there. Walton has played a very good standard for much of his career so let’s hope we find that “Pigott” type player through his contacts. We may need two or three of that ilk to be honest, but it could happen:

Unfortunately will be another cheap option not the best man We may as well pay descent money as crowds will dwindle soon Lose 100 adults at £15 a go Kinnear only wanted £1600 a week

Kinnear a fired failure?? don't make me laugh For crying out loud the bloke for 4 seasons had Dover as play off contenders in this league. A poor 15 or so games does not cancel out the great job he did at THIS LEVEL before. Also has plenty of experience in the league below so will know exactly what to do to have us as promotion candidates next season. He was a failure this season, and the complaints from Dover fans about his recruitment in the summer are exactly the same as our fans' complaints about Jay. It's about time we put this one to bed once and for all, Kinnear isn't the manager to take us forward. No Kinnear in ‘ere.

Find a lower-league club desperate for a 'proven' striker and get our '£24k+' back on Robinson. That wuold give us a few quid to play with. I have it on very very good authority and from a very reliable source that we only actually paid £3k for Robinson. Yeah but 'some bloke on Twitter' says it was £24K........ We don't know really but are we ready to write him off already?
