I liked the communication going on today between managers and team. For those who want passion then the haranguing of the officials was a joy to watch today and I'm surprised the dugout roof was still in one piece. Overall, a good game plan, well executed.

Let's see how Lewis and Walton do for a few games. Good start and could be the start of a good management team if it goes well. Agreed. Got to give them some time, and for what it is worth IMHO McMahon would be a mistake.

Great start for Walton and Lewis, as predicted. That was a better team performance than anything seen at the Gallagher (bar Orient FA Cup) way back into last season. This team seems to have some fight about them. A win at home to Dover (or even a gritty draw) will start our fightback.

It has to be Walton/Lewis for the rest of the season. Casey and Ash have just told me over a pint. And doubtless you vented your anger by telling them what you think of them sacking your lover boy like that. How dare they get rid of the best manager in the whole wide world and then they bought you a pint . Methinks not . Get a life Wolvestone before it is too late. Great performance today Sword. Cheer up!!

You're right. Maybe Harry leaves the legacy of a good management pairing and a good squad of players. Everyone out there seemed up for it today. I didn't see the wins at Aldershot, Braintree and Barnet live, but I thought this was the performance of the season. How good it would be to turnover Dover and get the Gallagher rocking.

Don't think anyone has yet mentioned Walton dropping out of the side today. Says much for him as a person, leaving WDH to lead on the pitch in his first game as Captain. However, still think he has a role to play, in front of the defence, especially to counter our tenancy to drop very deep when under pressure. Should Wishart's red card not be rescinded, then Walton will be needed on the pitch v Dover. Indeed, there is an arguement for having leaders all over the pitch and for me, Walton, in the right position, has a lot to offer.

The answer to this thread is Tristan Lewis and Simon Walton. Enough speculating. Give these two until the end of the season and if they haven't done well we will have a whole new shopping list to debate about. COYS!

Battling 1 nil away win like Braintree but in much better style and against much better opposition.

My reservations about joining the Wheeler out camp were entirely due to thinking that someone else with different ideas coming in would be too disruptive for the club given where we were.
I'd been hoping that maybe Tristan might be the answer, although it hadn't even occurred to me to pair him with Simon Walton - but he seems to have his head screwed on from what we've heard from him so far.
If they do need some more experienced support from a "director of football" (Whatever one of those actually is) then hopefully Bill Williams will be back around the ground soon and can perhaps offer that support.
