Tristan and Simon surely.
Harry reminded me of a very, very low rent Jose Mourinho, able to assemble a good squad of players but his lack of faith in them, public criticism and always wanting to get in someone new meant the team played far below their potential. Tristan and Simon represent the best hope of the current squad staying together. Their open attitude and desire for players to show off what they can do should see the team play to their potential. Very early days but this could turn out to be a very good second half of the season.

Love this optimism and positivity after what seems a long time in a very long dark tunnel. Excellent to see some light now, but as you say "it's very early days".

Its all I wanted ,yes it is a very dark tunnel and I am not even sure the light is visible yet but if we go down at least we will go down fighting all the way not just for half the game and then giving up. If we are to succeed it is imperative that we score the first goal of any game if we don't it will be all the harder. I was impressed by everyone on Saturday including the managers but dpecial praise for McLennan who i didnt rate at the start of the season but was immense against Boreham wood.

But also Cass, who we assume is going, still gave his all. What a loss that will be

Assuming Tristain and Simon will be in charge for Hartlepool. Anyone see any possible contenders at yesterday's game?

The only name I like from that list is Tristan Lewis.

Is there any intelligence behind this list though? I doubt it. Just a list of out of work managers. I hope we (O,T and B) still go through the process of finding a new manager - even if they are to offer the job to Tristan and Simon. they should have to interview for it as well right?

If there is another change they have got to get it right this time. A guy that is prepared to manage a NLS side, because that is where we are going. To many loan players this year. Its been a right mess. The new guy or Tristan needs the full closed and pre-season.

If the club are just gonna appoint Lewis without actually doing a proper recruitment process they really have made a big mistake.
This club is crying out for an experienced manager to take us forward, not someone who was Harry's numbers 2 and has very little managing experience. It would be just making the same mistake as we made with Wheeler.
The whole fanbase was shouting from the hill tops that we needed a proper manager and now just because Tristan is saying what he knows the fans want to hear everyone is suddenly wanting him as manager??

We are saying TL and SW because a) There is no good manager on the market who hasn't been recently fired (for very good reasons) and b) After the HW demolition job the club needs to have stability and passion and needs another change in regime like it needs a hole in the head. TL by his own admission doesn't have a great footballing CV but he and SW, supported by a hands on BW must be better than an out of work manager who'll change everything again with no guarantees they will be any better than TL and SW. That ship - i.e. a proper Manager with NL and League 2 experience who can get results quickly has already sailed, the appointment of HW saw to that, unfortunately.

Oh God - just found myself liking two opposing posts!
I know longer know what the hell the answer is (except two mythical League-standard strikers on unicorns). All I have left is anger and depression, interspersed with occasional bouts of manic optimism...

I think it,s time the owners opened up to us fans with there hopes an estimations for the season an beyond. Its great that Walton an Lewis say about uniting again with the fans but let,s hear from the owners let them tell us what budget we are to expect the next manager to have an what they hope to achieve. That way there,s no disappointment for anyone.
