Fed up with all the gripes and moans about Harry Wheeler and the players he has brought in. Give the man a chance, as it is very obvious that he is working passionately to do the best he can for the team. Time will tell if the best he can do is good enough, but still very early in his role here, so why not just try and be a supporter instead of an underminer.

Agreed. Rome wasn't built in a day, or even a quarter of a season.

Why not let people think what they want. We don't need you telling us what to do.

Why not let people think what they want. We don't need you telling us what to do. You can think what you want Daveu but do you really have to go on an on about how bad you think Harry is doing or who Harry should or should not pick. Harry is the manager it,s what he get,s paid to do an what he is contracted to do for the remainder of this season. So the best we can do as fans is get behind whatever team he selects an support them, if we cannot do that then what,s the point of going to the matches.

As ever it can depend on your definition of "support the team".
Happened to come across my 'collection' of Season Tickets - and I appreciate there are quite a few out there that can better this, and 'hats off to you all' - and I've found that I have had a run of 13 seasons from 1978 and then another 9 up to the present day and I know there were seasons before both those runs where I attended many games.
The reason I'm sharing?
Well, across those many seasons I've come away from games with varied emotions, frustration, despondency, anguish, disappointed in the result, excitement, even happiness. Tuesday night's game was the first that I can ever remember where I came away disappointed in the team, I felt they'd let me (and the other supporters) down.
Despite that I'll still be there Saturday and at Barrow the following week and almost every other game this season and, God willing, seasons to come. That might not be everybody's view (or indeed anyone else's view) but that's my definition of how I "support the team".

At the moment it's starting to feel horribly familiar to me.

Try telling that to the so called supporter who had to be moved away by a steward after heated discussion with Harry by the dugouts on Tuesday night.
A majority of us were pissed off that night but hurling abuse and whatever else (for a steward to get involved it can't of just been a naughty word said) is unacceptable.

Glad too know that there will be at least 3 of us ' Stones Supporters ' at Barrow then - probably 4 if NWS shows up from out of the mountains.

At the moment it's starting to feel horribly familiar to me. I've noticed quite a few references on this forum to the "dark times" of Barry Fry. Strangely I don't remember them that way. Maybe the glasses are appropriately tinted from the passing years but my recollection was that throughout my first 'season ticket run' going to Maidstone matches was generally enjoyable, we were considered one of the top non-league clubs and the football usually reflected that. And of course, especially at home, a win wasn't unexpected.
Times have changed in so many ways.

People are allowed to vent their opinions, much better it is done on here and not as what occurred on Tuesday night with Harry, I support the team and I suppose I always will however this season is like death by a thousand cuts, I was gutted when Jay went and won’t hide that, however I’m also a realist and reckon he should have gone at the end of last season, however the club were extremely loyal to him possibly to their detriment and we end up with Harry, I’m afraid he is somebody I am struggling to feel any affinity towards and I’m not convinced he is as good as he thinks he is, however we are where we are and we need to get behind the team, whichever team that is this week, I will apologise but I don’t want us to get relegated with the hope we can reform and rebuild in the National South as I believe if we go down we will stay down for a long time and here is the crux just how long do we give Harry, do we give him to the end of the season regardless or if it’s looking bad do we jettison him and look for somebody else, he hasn’t got the luxury that was afforded to Jay.
I hope Harry proves me wrong and keeps us up but I’m expecting the worst

Perhaps I should have titled this thread "I would prefer to remain positive and support the team". Also that way I would not have been reprimanded by Daveu for trying to tell people what to do 😳

I totally echo that post Toon. So far Harry and his new team have given all the Talk but except for a few games have not backed it up on the pitch !! Hopefully they can turn it around but it looks like we will be back in National South at the end of the season where personally I think we should have stayed in anyway for at least few more seasons to build the club up financially which would have happened with Jay who in my opinion should have never been let go/sacked. Again a rise too fast too soon in my opinion and one has to question Lee's magnificent save at Ebbsfleet ( tongue in cheek observation ) !!!! Hopefully turning Athletic over on Saturday will gives us all something else to focus us on.
See you Boys at Holker Street on the 8th for a win? COYS.

I think the fact some people moan indicates they do support the team because they care.
Forum definition:. a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.
Let’s keep it that way. Just like politics, if someone doesn’t like one view you counter it with something and then maybe there’s a moment of enlightenment for all.
