Good crowd ( 2,626 ) - boosted by the usual excellent showing from Wrexham - 5th highest in non league ( behind Orient, Chesterfield, Stockport & Salford ).

Yes, spot on sennockian, nws is wrong, wrong, wrong. It would help if he knew where he was standing without having to ask. Without wishing to annoy jakeyboi, I'd like to say I know where nws was standing, right behind me in the Town End (he didn't stop talking all match), and I share his view of Phillips apparent two footed tackle, I also was afeared a red card was about to be produced, though Phillips clearly got the ball..

So, about 90 yards away! Sorry to labour the point, but I was ten yards away and it was neither reckless or two footed. He got the ball. There was no foul. End of story.

I look forward to the highlights, because regardless of whether it was a foul, such challenges frequently lead to red cards. It had me worried for a few moments, from a Town End view.

Mate I was right above in the Genco and it was absolutely embarrassing when the ref blew. For me, no free kick

Yet again nws has created trouble, confusion and disharmony on the forum.
Now it turns out he was at the other end of the ground when the Phillips booking took place. Unbelievable !

Another brilliant game. Not as glamorous as winning, obviously, but in many ways more important - we were as good as (if not better in the second half) the top-of-the-table side, and should have got all three points. Their goal was a very rare attack for them, and completely against the run of play. But for that deflection (from who?), it would have just been yet another speculative shot at goal, easily stopped by Smith. I don't remember Smith making more than two or three serious saves in the whole game. In fact it's a good measure of how far we've come that Smith has far less to do than Worgan did - or the Wrexham goalie in the 2nd half! Very hard to pick a MotM, as everyone played so well today. Even Walton would be up for the award, and not just for the goal - but what a goal! If I had to pick one, it would probably be Romain - he's come on so much over the last few games, he almost out-Turotts Turgott at times. Masses of energy and commitment, fantastic skills and a totally selfless player. Went to the game expecting to get beaten, but hoping it would only be by the odd goal, but came away thinking we'd been unlucky to lose two points - against one of the league's top sides! It's a measure of how far we've come under Harry that we play the top side and feel disappointed that we didn't win. One aspect of the game that only occurred to me as it happened was that I am no longer apprehensive about subs. I always used to wonder if it was a mistake and the sub coming on wouldn't be as good as the player going off, but now I find myself actually looking forward to seeing what the new player can do, and what tactical change Harry is making. His subs feel like intelligent moves to control the game, not just throw someone on and hope something happens. I'll never diss Jay, he is still Mr Maidstone to me, but it's starting to feel like Harry is a step up from what we're used to at JWW. Odd to find yourself, stuck at 18th, and still with only one home win, actually looking forward to the rest of the season and wondering how far up the table we can get. Good times! My only (slightly) negative point is Turgott's wild shots at goal - these have been a feature of the last two games. I can understand his frustration at the opposition trying to stop him playing , but taking a shot from yards out and watching it sail wide is not the answer. Harry needs to work with him to get him to take advantage of his close marking - if they've got two or three players on Turgott, that leaves plenty of space for other players, like Cassidy, Paxman or Romain to exploit. But first of all, they need to have the ball passed to them! For me I think Romaine and Cassidy will terrorise any defence in this league. Turgott I would drop cos I think he’s not a team player lately. Midfield Pax, Powell, etc. are kinda linking now and taking the pressure of the defence.Think Walton as usual scares the shit out me cos Es so on the edge. Great goal. Es a leader though, wot we need Swaine coming in , solid. Unlucky for the deflection. Smith just a bit of class. Again as was said earlier we dropped points to the league leaders who we made look ordinary. Play Offs here we come. COYS Drop Turgott 😂😂 How many goals have the rest of the team scored this season?

Anyone else notice that they have now removed the offending bar from the goalposts? So we don't get anymore non goal goals

Watch the highlights for the tackle, it’s at 2 minutes 50 seconds and I can sort of see why the referee gave the decision and made the booking, it does look reckless however it was the wrong decision imho, but hey it’s easy to say that after watching it 4 or 5 times

So we don't get anymore non goal goals Yep I noticed it and when they were 1st added I questioned why they was there in the 1st place as it would not strengthen the goal as it was too low. I could do a NWS and trawl through my posts but maybe not.

Because we don't have fixed goalposts,I've noticed some keepers kick the upright inwards a couple of centimetres before the game, and even kick them back out for the other keeper.

That would not stop the goalposts from being kicked in or out.If they were fixed it obviously would. Sittingbourne also have them and their goals are fixed.
