We had someone good called Jack Richards but Jay didn’t give him a chance last season after his MOM display against Wrexham. Jack is “home grown” and I think that’s why he is thought of as highly as he is. He never showed that he could cut it physically for me, in what little I saw of him. I'm in 100% agreement and hope you will join me in feeling a little irked by Davy's use of the royal 'we' for supporters when many of us don't and never did hold such a viewpoint.

Another player who has left that I am sure we will not miss! Since coming to the national league I can only think of three players who we have missed, Pigott, Hines and Mills. For me all the rest have gone having lost form like Lewis, DSY etc.. Would like to sign some players petminantly as we could be left with half a team should they all go back overnight Please explain how do you leave in such a way ? Do you transform into a cat ? Loan players can be recalled by their club at any point if they are needed like WDH last year going back early to Wycombe! No need to turn into a cat.......

Getting this thread back on track
I would like to wish Stuart Good luck at Dover, thank you for all that you have done whilst at Maidstone United, a player who always gave 100% and somebody who always gave his all.

From this seasons performances it’s no big loss. Get him off the wage bill and get 2-3 new signings in. Need more quality in midfield. Wouldn’t surprise me if Walton is made permanent but we need more than him. Put Finney as captain now. Blimey 2-3 signings, just how much do you think he was earning? regarding Walton I am yet to be convinced yes he shouts a lot but he isn't the quickest or most mobile, obviously this is my opinion and I understand others may see it differently

These days with good diet and gym work there is no reason why a 31 year-old cannot still cut it on the pitch, physically. Harry has said that fitness is a big priority and the fact he wants to sign Walton permanently makes me think that he believes he can get him in good shape. if he is playing every week and doing the right things in-between games, he can get there I'm sure. It's funny how people talk about the likes of Walton and Stu Lewis as if they are knackered old war horses who can't run anymore. They are 31 FFS, not 50. If they are unfit that is their fault because they're not working hard enough to stay in top shape.
