He has been a brilliant player for us massively involved with keeping us up the last two seasons. But this season I think he has looked sluggish and not the player he was. So now is a good time to say thank you so very much but its now the right time to say goodbye...

Another player who has left that I am sure we will not miss! Since coming to the national league I can only think of three players who we have missed, Pigott, Hines and Mills.
For me all the rest have gone having lost form like Lewis, DSY etc..
Would like to sign some players petminantly as we could be left with half a team should they all go back overnight

Personally I hope hw goes out and gets a midfield general that can score goals aswell, we are missing someone that can boss a game in midfield, not just run around I'd like to see Walton playing in there instead of stuck in the back three. Walton has scored 34 goals in the Championship and FL so he has that in his locker as well but he ain't going to do it from central defence. Fair point about Simon Walton. Only concern for me is his 'engine'. Even in the pre match warm ups he seems to pace himself. Wonder at 31 whether he could command the midfied. Looks a good centre back or defensive midfielder to my mind. But will he return from Billericay ?

We want someone like Liam Noble from Hartlepool. I’ve watched him twice this season and he has bossed both games. Obviously he wouldn’t move here but it’s someone in that mould that would make such a difference.

There available every off season, but our summer recruitment is usually pretty terrible so we always miss out on anyone decent.

It’ll cost more though. Also, it would be good to try and bring an academy player through at some point

We've had this discussion before. To be ignored by Jay might have been something personal, but to then be ignored by Watty and now by Harry points to something more. Three managers must have some reason why they didn't give him a chance. Much as I would have liked to have seen him in the side, I have to accept that they saw something we as supporters were unaware of.

It would seem that Lewis knew he was going long before he asked to leave so much for his love for the club and it's fans that he could not be upfront and honest with us.

Lewis gave everything when he wore a Stones shirt but this season he has not been as good. In the game against Bromley he was slowing our attacks down when he got the ball.I would have thought it would be time for him to drop down a league but Hess obviously does not agree. We shall see.....

Jack is “home grown” and I think that’s why he is thought of as highly as he is. He never showed that he could cut it physically for me, in what little I saw of him.
