1 more win should do it, and we still have 5 games against fellow strugglers.

Well that wouldn't have happened if we had kneejerked and sacked the manager!

Well played the boys. Worgs didn't have to make a save. Captain Fantastic Lewis certainly makes a difference. My MoM even without the goal. Strong in midfield today and very sound at the back. Still a bit below par up front but another great result. Macclesfield beware !

Fully deserved that win. Miles better than Sutton on the day, who early on seemed to resort to serial cheating and whinging. How Loza's first half goal disallowed is beyond me - and it was the culmination of a brilliant sweeping move from one end of the pitch to the other too. Then there was the blatent two handed shove in the back on the penalty spot not given, so justice done with Lewis's goal. Probably my motm, but definitely Havilland impressive in a new look back four with Finney at left back.we were rarely troubled and not sure Worgan made a save all game. My only doubts would be Turgott and Sam Yorke, neither of whom looked like scoring, yet Loza the one taken off. No matter, two wins in a row and Macclesfield will not fancy another trip south methinks.

Terrific all round team performance today. Thoroughly deserved win against not only Sutton but the ref and one of the linesmen as well. Shows how well we played that for the first time I wasn't worried that we were only one goal up. Superb game management after we took the lead.

Massively unsettling unlikely to lead to rapid change of form. We werent as bad as some like to peddle on many occasions We'll never know! However a deserved win today...thought DSY worked hard and Tom Wraight had a storming cameo. The league is very weak this year, that's why it's such a shame we've been so woeful. But like at arsenal, this performance only papers over the cracks! Changes are needed for next season.

(Having said that I'm now unsure about when we signed Josh Hare but I'm too lazy to check.)

Let's see. Two wins do not a successful side make, but there was a composure about the side today, even while Sutton were trying their best to intimidate the ref. We wound down the clock well at the finish too. IF we can finish the season well, then the main need now Sears to be a couple of goal scoring forwards. Shame we had to let Pigott go, but the lack of a consistent scorer has really hurt us. Let's wait and see.

Well, what a great game - a thoroughly deserved win. Mind you, it should have been 2-0 - one of the best goals I've seen at JWW, but disallowed! Why??
How did we play like that today after the awful performance against Torquay? Just the psychological boost of a long-awaited win?
Not impressed with Sutton at all - how on earth are they 2nd? And I thought they were a decent footballing side too, so all that cynical gamesmanship in the first half was a big disappointment. The ref got better as the game went on, but in the first 30 minutes or so, it was 11 v 13. Once again a truly awful linesman on the main stand side.
After our result today (a two-game winning run!) and their defeat at Dover, Macclesfield won't be looking forward to Wednesday. Whereas we have nothing to lose. Unfortunately, the bizarre rescheduling on a Wednesday means I'll miss at least the fit half of the game! Why a Wednesday, FFS???
Well done Stones - a brilliant win and a really enjoyable game!

Shame we had to let Pigott go, but the lack of a consistent scorer has really hurt us. Let's wait and see. Two wins do, however, make us a NL side next season - or as good as. Another win and a couple of draws should see us safe, and if we can't manage that from the remaining games, we deserve to go down.

deserve to go down ? what sort of talk is that ? relegation is no longer an issue now we can seriously look forward to midfield obscurity, which after the last 3 months will be very welcome
