Simple enough isn't it ! DSY puts in a consistently good shift, does lots of good work, but doesn't carry much of a goal threat.
But the point deflects away from the real reason why this match was lost. Jay describes Eastleigh's 3 goals as 'crap'. Poor marking and individual mistakes.
We regularly concede too many goals from set pieces and headers Is it all the result of poor defending from our full backs and centre backs ? Individually they are good players and again they all seem to play pretty well today.
Our defenders are not exactly giants but we do need a keeper that can command the 6 yard box. Safe and effective distribution from the keeper should be a 'gimmee'. And howlers like the second goal just beggars belief

Can everyone now agree that we need a new keeper? No

Didn't think Worgs was actually trying to pass for their second but rather just miss-kicked a lump up the field.
As for the Ref, I had never joined in with the Referee chant before today, but he was worth it.

Another result that leave us going home empty handed. We can't win games because we make too many unforced errors and can't capitalise on the chances we get up front. Delano is not pulling his weight enough and at times looks totally lost or unable to know what to do with the ball. Always beaten in the air and hasn't got any speed to go beat and go past defenders. Lee had a shocker , gifting them their second goal. What do we have to do to get a decision by a referee when playing at home. Is there a conspiracy against us by the League that instruct the referee to not gives any decisions. Really annoyed to go home with no point once more.

We are in a relegation battle now. We are 14th and still nearer the play offs than the bottom four...but...

So unfair on DSM Frenchie But agree with the rest

Wasn't there, so in a way glad to hear we played ok. Really concerned about refereeing though, it really is becoming a conspiracy and suspect the only reason the ref was 'ok' on Tuesday was anyone at our usual inept standard could have started a riot. Not sure about the criticism of Worgan. None of the reports seem to level much blame on him, but one reason he is under pressure at the moment is he gets many more back passes than other teams give their keeper. We use him as a sweeper, even though it is obvious he rarely clears very far into the other half. In a way, an accident waiting to happen and while that doesn't excuse what has been happening, we could be playing the ball out differently instead of putting him under pressure so often.

If it’s not his kicking, it’s his shot stopping which keeps isn’t going well for him either plus he doesn’t command the box anymore. Time for a change. I think Jay knows this and that is why he has taken the captaincy away from him. Its slowly coming to end an end for him.

Well, I've been shopping, had something to eat, ranted at the wife, helped the youngest with his homework - but still I don't know what the f**k happened today.
My first game back after over a week in bed. Not really well enough ("you'll get pneumonia and die - don't say I didn't warn you"), but determined to see some football. 2-1 up, feeling OK, said to my daughter "I'm glad I've come, I'm enjoying this - we're playing some good stuff and bossing the game, I like this new no 17, Paxo is playing some wonderful stuff, even ter Horst is looking good, and Worgs has got his usual mad moment out of the way. We look like we could settle the game at any moment with a third - the first League win at home I can remember for months..."
Then, what the hell happened? I missed both goals - or rather I didn't actually miss them, I was watching the game, I might have glanced away briefly, but I was petty much up with things, but what the f**k happened?? Even we don't snatch defeat out of the jaws of comfortable victory against a team as average as Eastleigh.
First time I've not applauded the team off - not because we lost, even in our worse performances there are players still deserving some applause at the end - but simply because I was still too shell-shocked.
And, although you can't blame the ref for a performance as bad as that, he still was woeful (although not as bad as the lineo on the mains stand side). Surely a league simply can't function properly with the 'standard' of refereeing we've seen recently?
Or perhaps I didn't recover enough to go today, perhaps I'm still in bed and this was just the drugs...

We played some good stuff today but again mistakes cost us, the First, well totally unmarked and it was in the back of the net, 2nd goal what the hell happened there? We then woke up and nearly got out of jail, we should not have lost but we did, I'm feeling a battle is coming up

Everyone is getting on Worgan’s back but the club have not improved the goal keeping department for years now.
Look at Worgan’s understudy’s, Taylor...lazy, disinterested t**t who shouldn’t even be in the first team. Mcorkrell has turned out to be a sicknote. Worgan gets motivated alongside these guys?
If the club would of signed an experience national league goalkeeper on a good, cheap deal then it probably would of up’ed his game, have the club even antisipated if Worgan were injured/suspended? It’s a complete joke.
