So a quick turnaround after a much improved performance on Saturday, hopefully the home curse will be lifted, going 2-1 with 2600 in attendance, 220 from Dover.

... At least this year we fared better in front of the "live" camera audience compared to the same time last year. It's a Kent derby and we don't do too well in these matches and we are at home, could we start the New Year in style !! ... I would like to but fear that we won't !!. Happy New Year one and all.

Happy New Year to everyone.
From what I saw the other day we have to be able to match them physically. If we play the ball on the floor we look better equipped to beat Dover whom I felt were quite long ball. As soon as we stopped playing on the floor we played to their game style and they took the second half. We need Hines and Loza (if playing) to roam and pull their defence out of shape. Young Collins did that a little as well (if he is playing) but he seemed to get intimidated by the Dover full back. I would consider playing Lewis, Reason and Prestedge in central midfield with Prestedge breaking things up in front of a back three. I'd try Loza and Hines out wide but moving about and swapping with Piggot and Collins up front.

And, on that cheery note, a Happy New Year to all.

Can't see Collins influencing the game as his loan period is finished now !...

This century Stones have had I think 3 relegation battles, loads of promotion chasing campaigns and... one mid-table season or two in the Ryman Premier? 08/9 or thereabouts? Will this season be remembered for the league games, KSC, Cup or Trophy? Long way to go. I think it'll be Cheltenham that is seen as the high point. Out of the Trophy last 8 and a whimper against G*lls in the KSC. 10th in the league.

2-1 to Dover, we’re concede during another set play with Worgan probably gifting them another goal. The game will be a long ball fest with the referee stopping play constantly for petty shit. They must stop Dover crossing into the box but that may not be the case if they use the surface to play their way through like last year.

We need to somehow relieve the pressure at home then hopefully we can start playing with the patience and the freedom we do away. Away we simply get the ball down and continue to switch the ball probing for gaps with the aim in frustating the opposition by keeping the ball then chances will come. However it seems the only thought at home is solely to score goals as quickly as possible, the anxiety in making a mistake at home is obvious so the opponents often grow in confidence which adds to the problem.

So, an absolute screamer from Dover and then another clear penalty for us denied. Manny Parry seems to have Piggott tied up, though by no means fairly as the ref gives a foul every time they tangle.
