Parry looked like he was trying to impregnate Piggs all through the game. It's a matter of opinion, but I thought Manny Parry was absolutely superb for Dover today, hence Pigs had an ineffective game. Until Delano came on we had three small players up front who were passengers in this game of big men. On the other hand, was impressed by Pax when he appeared, looked sharp and well involved. Sorry can't agree about paxman. In the 15 minutes or so that he was on he gave the ball away 3-4 times, gave free kicks away and was off side. He did bugger all and he needs to go get some games somewhere else until the end of the season. Jay has even said that he available to go. Reason is our best midfielder and was surprised he didn't start so maybe he had an injury. Manny was excellent today and gave piggot no space at all, well apart from the first goal when he let him cross it in. Surprised wraight was taken off as he was one of our best players today. We need some reinforcements and it will be interesting to see who Jay gets in this month. Enjoyed the game today but it's great to see another team hit the ball long more than we do. Can't wait to hear Kinnears excuses today. Bet the pitch is the first excuse.

Well...everyone except Nick and his sidekick, Dave U, think Manny was superb. On the rules he sets Nick will be apologising and admitting he is wrong...we shall see if he follows his own rules

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but i thought Tom Wraight had a very good game, probably his best so far in a Maidstone shirt Agreed and not just because he scored as he was excellent in the 1st half.

Is a sexual assault a straight red nowadays ?? Some refs turn a blind eye to this, others wave play on ..... 😏

Piggs was in Parry's pocket, really?! He must of snuck out then to firstly put in a fantastic cross for Wraight to score then a lovely pass through to Anderson to score... Parry was very good today but Piggs done his fair share to sort him out.

Piggot has been very good the pass few games, without him we would be in a relegation scrap for sure, my player of the season so far...

Surprised wraight was taken off as he was one of our best players today. Agreed, as Ange said, he's getting a bit better every game he plays. We need some reinforcements and it will be interesting to see who Jay gets in this month. I suspect we are starting to see some rotation of players, bearing in mind how many games we have this month.

Manny done nothing different to what players like martin keown done their whole career. The problem was pigs was trying to move side to side but where we had no other physical presence up front manny was able to switch sides with pigs, when Delano came on it made it more difficult for manny to close pigs off as gioficoo didn't seem too great in the air against big men.
Personally glad to see wraight in the side ahead of hines, he offers so much more to the all round team performance, he tracked back and offers an outlet every time. Loza on the other hand is a luxury player and it was his man who scored the worldy where he failed to track back.
Both Dover goals were quality and our two goals were superbly worked but other than that it was a dire game, hoof, hoof, hoof, hoof finally half way through the second half Winter started to travel with the ball at his feet and this caused panic for Dover, for the first 60-65 mins we played their game and they were comfortable when we got the ball down they struggled to address the changes.
Ref meh, we've had better but we've also had a lot worse, the muppet who could barely move around the pitch at Aldershot springs to mind.

Easy to forget about Richards, but always feel he is a quality player, with maybe a bit more than Paxman even. Trouble with this league is too many sides are full of players built like brick outside toilets, which seems to make life difficult for our guys. Glad I'm not the only one to think the ref was shite (again). Wright completely flattened in the area after they scored, clear penalty, yet again, but seems we get sod all from officials. At this level it seems the best refs we can get are still approaching their mediocre best. Haven't seen a ref who is about average ref a game for us this season.

Thought we deserved the draw. Their first goal a stunner, but the scorer was given the time and space. Super strike though. Likewise their second. Northern ran from his own half and really should have been stopped several times. For us, Twumasi was superb, Lewis ran his socks off as usual and Loza put in a good shift too. Credit to Pigott as well. Manny Parry pretty much had him in his pocket the whole game - indeed, he gave him nothing, but the ref could have intervened several times. However, JP had the sense to eventually leave Parry in the middle and it was his cross that Wright scored a fine header from. Not sure about Ter Horst. Certainly ran a lot, but to little effect, not sure he is big enough for this league. Nice to see Paxman back. Would be good if he could provide that creativity we are lacking in midfield. Anderson took his chance we'll, so the gaffer has got two goals from elsewhere in the team for a change. Worgan's distribution still dodgy, but made some decent saves, though also a couple of iffy moments too. Would not blame him for either goal. As for Dover, Kinnear had already blamed the pitch and was regularly reminded about it. Otherwise, they are a workmanlike side but nothing special. An excellent summary. Tsunami was my MotM by a mile (despite Lewis' usual 110% effort) - he ran himself into the ground and kept us in the game time and time again. Without him and Lewis we'd be nothing. Paxman looked very sharp, his loan spell has obviously done him good, I think his introduction led to the 2nd goal,as we started keeping the ball down and making short, accurate passes, Dover couldn't handle that. Good to see Wraight improving too, I was getting to the point of saying that I didn't understand what he contributes to our game, but today he answered my doubts pretty conclusively. The starting 11 looked very much like Jay was resting a few players - a brave decision, which worked. But I can't agree with those who praise Parry for "having Pigott in his pocket" though, he had his arm round Pigs every bloody time - there's no way that sort of constant fouling should be allowed. The only players I wasn't too impressed with today were The Beast and ter Horst. The Beast just has too many dodgy moments for me, if everyone was fit and available, I don't think he'd be starting. And I'm afraid I think ter Horst has been given enough chances now, and, good player as he undoubtedly is, he's just not up to this level of football. Overall, a decent Christmas/New Year for us. I don't think anyone who saw the games would regard our current position in the form table as at all indicative of our true ability - we held two of the sides challenging for the championship to draws, making them look quite ordinary at times, and, with a bit more luck, could have come out of a couple of those games with all three points. The Orient game was a disappointment, but that ref was so appalling that I really don't think you can count that result as any sort of indication of our true form - with a better ref that cold/should have been a draw at least.

Am looking forward to seeing the highlights. Was right behind their first goal, albeit 70 yards away, and the space just opened up for him. Super strike. Not sure Nortei should have been allowed to run that far, but he did and clearly finished well. Criticism of Wright and Paxman a bit unfair. Pax did well considering how little time he had and how long he's been out, while Wright put in a good shift with some decent crosses as well as the headed goal. If we stick with the available back four, one wonders if a midfield four of Lewis, Paxman, Wright and Reason would be more creative, especially if we had Sam-Yorke and Pigott up front? Loza, Prestedge and Anderson on the bench not the worst either.

Thought Wynter had a great game personally. Looked to move forward and had a great positive attitude.
Delano made a difference and will push JTH for that starting berth. Not really sure what JTH did and think at this level he will struggle to exert himself.
