This is getting embarrassing. The squad needs a freshen up especially in midfield. I bet we were just playing long ball all game again. you were not there then ? I don't need to be there to know that two 4-0 defeats and a draw against the bottom side at home, that we have a problem. We are conceding for fun and not scoring as well. We need to improve our squad and hopefully Jay can get a couple of players in on loan like he mentioned on his interview.

We've done more than enough to show we have the quality needed to compete in this league. Jay has never struck me as being the sort of manager who will panic after a short run of poor performances - I'm sure he will leave that to some of our fans, who love doing it. He may well bring in some loanees to boost the numbers while we have players with niggles and suspensions but that's about it.

Well got home about 1am after a long old day, yes we lost 4-0 but that changes nothing, we as fans will still carry on supporting the club, so let,s get behind the boys next week and make sure they hear us singing an cheering. Make our support count, not sitting on here moaning, I find it amazing that people on here moaning that didn,t make the trip to Tranmere. So keep smiling.

I think if either the Piggott or Hines efforts had gone in during the 1st half, the game would have ended differently, Tranmere were a decent team but you could feel the nerves of the Home support during the 1st half, as Jay has correctly said if you don’t take your chances you get punished, this game was thankfully nothing like the dismal performance on Tuesday against Boreham Wood.
One thing I would like to add is, it is okay to be angry and pissed off about losing, it’s human nature, I walked out of Prenton Park hurting and disappointed but will still be back next week at MK Dons, what does annoy me is when people trot out the usual look how far we have came, I am just happy we are back home, we are doing really well, as I have said you can be annoyed and still love the club.

The forum has hardly been inundated with moaning posts, just a handful of supporters expressing some disappointment with the most recent performances. What do you expect with successive 0-4 defeats ? Hardly a crisis though and Saturday's match at MK Dons comes at a good time when Jay will look to regroup the team. Without naming players, we seem to have around 4 (post injury) lacking proper full match fitness and another 4 a shade below par with their form. It does give Jay a bit of a problem with his team selection for MK Dons without any real serious competition for starting places. But hey, I'm pretty sure the support will be great for next Saturday, looking forward to it. Expectations will be dampened by recent performances, but no bad thing - nothing to lose and everything to gain

Good journey up until the M6 stopped and we watch 2 fire engines, 2 ambulances, police car and traffic officer car hare past on the hard shoulder. Thought we could be there a while.
10 minutes wait and then drive past everyone on the hard shoulder. Some mangled metal but no one apparently hurt, so all good.
Fine pub lunch with a decent pint just outside Chester. Narrowly avoided rear ending a local (vehicle) whilst looking for the ground. Someone had permanently blocked off a street since my sat nav was installed which confused the issue.
Watched the mighty Stones be not so mighty - hardly for the first time in years of watching them - but enjoyed it more than Tuesday and got back to Maidstone just a few minutes before 9.
So, nobody died and we lost a football match. The world moves on.

Does anyone remember the dreadful run of form after the Stevenage game, or the fact that we often seem to have a dip in the run up to Christmas. OK, the goals against doesn't look great, but every team has a bad spell. We'll get out of it and finish strongly like we did last year. To be honest, I always feared this game. Tranmere are a very good side who had a bad start but are just running into so decent form. They won't be far off the top at the end of the season. Meanwhile, we'll finish comfortably mid table, leaving the bother of sorting out the 3G issue to others.

I don't think it helped that the ref seemed to be against us all day, same thing happened last year. I'm not using it as an excuse because all 4 goals could have been avoided anyway. He just didn't seem to have a level of consistency. Even their keeper and fans were laughing at the fact that the ref didn't give a corner for Wraight's shot which was clearly tipped over at the end. Summed it up really.

NWS DOESN'T HAVE TO TRY TO BE ANNOYING, FOR HIM IT'S A GIFT ! On a purely linguistic level, doesn't it take at least two individuals for someone to "be annoying"?
If the recipient declines to be annoyed then the 'giver' is not annoying no matter how hard one thinks they're trying.

This argument works at an emotional level as well as linguistic The second part of the equation would be to consider which occurs first. Is the 'annoyer' being annoying or is the 'annoyee' looking to be annoyed. I would cite the strange case of pmh's departure and the subsequent rush to be annoyed by me as evidence.
