There are 7 teams above us. We have played 6. Won 4, drawn 2, lost 0. Can we just keep playing them please?

Agree with you 100% jayser ! Joe Pigott is such an important players for the Stones and imo the best striker to wear the Stones shirt since the club has returned to the townhe is the lynchpin of our forward line, holding everything together, sometimes feeding of scraps works really hard, good header, excellent dead ball technique, good hold up play, takes plenty of knocks, and never moans, unlike some of our so called supporters Jay May?

All very true, but I can understand fans moaning at a striker who doesn't actually score many goals! For all his good points, which are legion, I'm sure the first line in the 'objectives' part of his job description is "score goals - preferably quite a few"... Perhaps the answer is reclassify him - more of an 'advanced midfielder', than a 'striker'? He has 5 in 14 games. At that rate he will score around 15 goals. Honestly, that's not too bad in a team where others can chip in with a few too. When Jay May was playing the same role, and getting similar stick, he was also a 12 - 15 goal a season kind of player but the big problem we had at times (certainly in National South) was that no other bugger was scoring to help out. I think this team is different - we have a number of players who can also chip in with their quota. Pigott is joint seventh in the high scorers table, in a league of 24 teams. Some perspective is definitely, therefore, required.

Looks like I dodged a bullet not being able to go tonight. I was stunned checking the updates Wraight came on. Must be really scraping The barrel stuff for that to happen, Willard should of kept his place instead of being loaned out, he looked the far better player. Wraight was dubbed as Flishers replacement...not fit to lace his boots. Wraight did more when he came on than Zavon had done. Unfortunately he got wound up by their number 2 and was more interested in arguing than playing football. For a professed Christian he does seem to have a somewhat short fuse.

Does Andy Carroll score goals? QED. Yeah but he really is shite. I'd have Pigs over him every time.
