Luke Coulson 66 Danny Kedwell 77 - Guess he has cheered up now
Lewis sent off at the end.
Could this have been any worse for us?

Not sure what was worse - losing, or having to listen to that Neanderthal fleet fan blowing his one man trumpet all night?

Plus the injury to the excellent Finney made the evening worse.
Was an even game. They played all the football, we reverted to long ball for most of the game. Still we looked the more threatening until the Seth and then Worgs errors that gave them the first goal.
All downhill from there.
We need to improve and I am sure we will.
Thought Fleet had a few very good players. They will be mid table at worst I reckon

To be honest I didn't think Fleet were at the races tonight. Our best player was our keeper who kept us in the game. After 60mins I was happy with 0-0,then the goal changed everything. After that it could have been four, as you pushed forward leaving spaces at the back. The injury to Finney really hurt you.

Lack of creativity tonight, far too much long ball, Delano and Wraight not good enough tonight. If we are going to play long ball Delano or someone has to be playing off Piggott but would much prefer to see the ball on the floor! Gutted been looking forward to this one

Just like Saturday, could of been 2 up, missed chances, 2 mistakes 2 goals. Why the long ball? Our wingers haven't got the pace to go past defenders, hard to choose a motm, hope finnys injury is not a bad one. Still early days, coys.

I saw it the same way as Fleetphil - 2 top drawer saves from Ash more - the first from Mr Lewis in the first half and then from that downward header early in the second kept it 0-0 ( although apart from a couple of balls across our 6 yard box, I dont remember anything else if note). When we took the lead, we suddenly found our confidence and you never looked like getting back - especially after our well worked 2nd goal. Horrible tackle from Mr Lewis thoroughly deserved red to top things off for you.

Wasn't there tonight but it does annoy me when for crunch games we drop Paxman and go long ball. I've rarely seen us play well without him in the side. I'd be interested to know how the midfield played without him.

Thought Maidstone were slightly the better side until we scored. Wasn't too much between us, but I thought you looked much more confident. Two very good efforts saved by Ashmore and then it was ours for the taking.
Can't see you lot struggling this season. Can't see us struggling either.
Huge respect to Worgan. Got a bit of stick, but clapped us, and the two side stands, before coming to you lot behind the goal. Got a lot of time for the guy.

Horrible tackle from Mr Lewis thoroughly deserved red to top things off for you. It was a very poor tackle from Lewis and the ref was going to send him off anyway, it didn't need the Manchester united style hounding from your players though, it was an obvious red. Game was fairly even a couple of great chances for the stones, before Ebbsfleet scored, sadly once they did could only see one outcome. Fair play to the Ebbsfleet fans in good voice, except the muppet with the megaphone as nothing he said was audible all game long he reminded me of those early x-factor auditions where they come on and think they can sing but are awful, it was just a dirge. Also fleet fans with the new stand has that not reduced your capacity, as I recall a good 12/13 steps for standing along there but now only 5 rows of seats?? Also nice to see a team really varying their corner routines, makes a change from seeing our lot over hit 90% and under hit the other 10%. Stones again chances created but not taken and two mistakes and punished for it, Finney impressed again and hoping his knock can be run off by Saturday as he seems a real steady eddy back there.
