Top half of the table and still unbeaten at home - I'll take that.

Didn't see Finney on the wing once. Rubbish.

Super Alan Devonshire certainly looks very different today. Who'd have thought an England international of 35 years ago would have aged?! Just watched him on you tube scoring a goal in 1980. Really let himself go lol 😂

Kept thinking Flisher would be coming across for the throws today! Looking at the Margate website, I see it says he may have a serious injury.

The team were a bit slow looking yesterday but still played Maidenhead off the park at times. 1st game so obviously will get better further on fitness wise. Can't believe we let the lead slip we should of been at least 3-0 up. Maidenhead had a few first game nerves in the big boys league but none the less provided a stern test. This could be a very good season for piggot...

Played some lovely football at times. Forwards looked a bit short of the sharpness you just can't get from pre-season, but with the number of chances we created I'm sure the goals will come. What was pleasing was how solid we looked at the back. With Finney and Hare looking good and Magnus and Wynter still to come in I don't think we'll concede anywhere near as many as last season. MOTM yesterday Alex Finney.

I must say the back four did not have any problems. Tarpay didn't even touch the ball. Josh Hare played really considering I was really sceptical of him pre season. Finnay made some class, composed interceptions. Seth and Joe were solid on the flanks.

Overall a good performance, very pleased with Finney on his debut, Pig did well again sure he will have a very good season, let,s just hope it,s spent wearing our colours. Mom for me was Finney purely because he came straight into the side and still played good composed football.

Gutted we drew, felt like we should have been 2 or 3 up by the point the storm hit and Maidenhead equalised. I just hope we won't be hearing "we just got to take our chances" from Jay Saunders as much as last season. Today was one of those. Anyway here's our goal: youtu.be/FJtW0fn7YlkI'm guessing from the celebrations that amber smoke bombs weren't an option?

"but with the number of chances we created I'm sure the goals will come"
You know, it's odd, and I'm probably wrong here, but I have this uncanny feeling that I've heard this before. So often in fact, that's it's almost like I've heard it pracically every season.
Must be my imagination.

Daveu predicts that the goals are sure to come it's called the "triumph of hope over experience"
or
"triumph of faith over pragmatism"
For once I'm on the side of daveu

I have to say that I thought that Tsunami looked the weakest link in our team on Saturday, but even so he didn't play badly. But I'd like to see Hare have a run at right back once we've got the centre backs selection sorted.
