Eastleigh just releases Jake Howells. Possibly the sort of player we ought to be looking at / in for ?? Would he really want to travel from Eastleigh down to Maidstone 2-3 days a week, plus go from being full time to part time, I think not my friend

I might be wrong of course...... but a lot of non league players DO travel fair bit.

Eastleigh just releases Jake Howells. Possibly the sort of player we ought to be looking at / in for ?? Only 25 and with close to 300 games for Luton, surely he'd be well out of our price range. Will likely sign for one of the ''big'' conference teams or return to the football league.

Are people on here really experts regarding Flish's diet? Because people have seen him in a local curry house a few times or whatever, does that mean he eats too much junk food? We all like a good curry sometimes. If he's eating the right stuff the rest of the time and burning up the calories with training, does it matter? I used to see Flish out on training runs a lot before he got married, I presume he has moved but I have seen him many times in the past, out there with my own eyes, putting in the miles. For sure he does try. I have long days running my business and balancing home life with kids etc. - I know from experience there is always a temptation to eat your way through tiredness. Flish has said in interviews he gets up early to go to work and can then have training or a game afterwards - that must be tough and it would naturally be difficult to stick to a very strict dietry regime in those circumstances. Tired and hungry is not a good combination. I think he has a lot more to offer and I'd like to see that at Maidstone, not somewhere else. We have to stick by him and work it out.[/b]

Why he did not get on the pitch until the 84th min against Dover was unbelievable!! and then at right back..

the thread seems to have turned into a scrutiny of Flish and his fitness have to agree with nws assessment 100% I guess not so long ago Alex would have been first name on the team sheet not so any longer post by 61666 earlier in this thread named 7 best performing players - spot on in my opinion "Ignoring the jibes that a few simply cannot exist without, it has been interesting to see some creative thinking of late, in particular not so much who is out, but who do you keep? Worgan, of course. Mills coping well, gets beaten at times but that is what forwards do to defenders. Lokko has something about him. Paxman, definite, likewise BJT, Loza and Vaz".
Good news that Seth Twumasi can be added to the list of players in the squad, that have really proven themselves at National League level. Really good player, with only 2 other accredited full backs on the books, Seth provides a 3rd option, possibly the best of them
