That's always struck me as a rather dodgy phrase.
But I guess I'm alone in this...

And who didn't play? James Rogers. Evans is a much better holding midfielder than Rogers.

To quote our good friend, plenty of arsehole and ringpiece today, for me Millsy and Driver were exceptionally good today, Sweens and Evans were disruptive in midfield, and Flish was energetic too. And a great bonus having a Tueday game to look forward too as well

Tuesday, yes. But what we really, really want is three points and no last minute panics on Saturday. Please.

A good performance from the lads today. I just wish we could have more shots on goal when we have the chance. At least 3 times we were in a good position but failed to have a shot and instead chose to pass the ball and hence lose possession.

At least 3 times we were in a good position but failed to have a shot and instead chose to pass the ball and hence lose possession. I didn't see the game, but as a general observation, our strikers often seem to dwell on the ball, or need that extra touch, before they score, and defences at this level will deal with that all day long. Almost all the opposition strikes I've seen this season have been snap shots, with no hesitation, no time for the defence to react. If we can't get proven NL level strikers in (as seems to be the case), we need to get someone in who can coach our strikers not to piss about, but just kick the bloody thing!

Tuesday, yes. But what we really, really want is three points and no last minute panics on Saturday. Please. Agree totally. I'd love a run in the Trophy (I've been waiting since 1980 for one!!), but the NFU game is paramount. A game we really 'should' win, but one that's got "big fat banana skin" written all over it. We really, really do HAVE to win that one. Get that one under our belt, and weather the Dover games, and then we get a chance to build up a few points before the Run-in From Hell begins. Staying up starts with beating NFU. . . . (So, no pressure!)

And a great bonus having a Tueday game to look forward too as well I disagree, a Tuesday game is the last thing we need just now. Though if we win, it will set us up for NFU - but if we lose, we could be dispirited on Saturday. And anyway, I have to miss the match because of a prior engagement.
