to be honest im a Arsenal fan and they will allways be my 1st love.As i work alot of saturdays i cant get to the emirates as much as i like,so i decided to follow my local team and have had a season ticket and not been to less than 25 games home and away for the last 15 seasons, now through no fault of our own i think attendance will drop as like myself my friend season ticket at Gills (scum) is cheaper and my brother inlaws at Charlton is nearly half ours at £175 the option for higher standard is cheaper,i think i will be going to charlton regular now and just pop down to stones on occasion.I cannot believe the league set the pricing so high when you can visit higher league clubs for less just shooting themselves in the foot really As much as what you say is 100% true, I believe the league set a minimum so that the clubs are able to survive at this level.

Thats true but lets be brutally honest here most of our fans have a premier league love that they would go to every week if they could so Stones as much as i love them are my 2nd club.it was allways a cheap alternative for me but we aint cheap anymore when you consider what other clubs are offering. so therefor affecting our season tickets sales to date You're on your own there pal.

I dont have a problem im just stateing why i wont be buying a season ticket this year and shareing my view on why ticket sales will be down i also stated im not complaining and i will attened games this season just not as many as in previous season,as I will watch football elswhere aswell this season which happens to be cheper. So basically, you can't afford to watch Arsenal, and now you can't afford to watch Maidstone. See you at Sutton.

It's not about saving a few quid and it's not about switching teams anyone that knows me or face will know I've been there for a long time watching the good and the very shit teams we had.im simply starring my point that we now are more expensive than teams in a higher league and that should be reviewed it's not about the actual price it's about the scale would you buy a fiesta if if it more expensive than a merc for instance,to keep a packed house at the gallaghers u need to pitch it right or people that ain't so hardcore will look at other games to fill there sat,I just feel the club have pitched it too high As Fleetphil suggests, we won't be missing people like you next season.

Not at any point did I say I won't b going or my financial state. justsaying I won't b buying a season ticket,i was stating my view as to why the sale were slow and it looks like they now gone thro the roof which I'm very pleased about the last thing I want is the club is to over pitch prices so the less hardcore fans choose to watch a cheaper alternative that very clear to see, although we have a strong hardcore that will be there no matter what that no the case for all our fans so I don't want to see the stadium with low figures,I will proberbly go watch Carlton with my brother in law for them big games in that league and I will also watch Bearsted as I have contacts there.

This all seems to be becoming a bit of a Witch Hunt.
Steve Cragg has raised a point which is valid there are cheaper season tickets. While I disagree with him over the view of Stones being second preference and wether its value for money, he has, in the past, paid to watch the Stones, and support is support. We should be, and I generally believe we are, an inclusive club that welcomes both the regular and casual spectator. Lets not hound one out because on balance his view is to go watch a higher level for cheaper. I want to see us maintain large crowds and a few of those people will always be casual supporters

We have experienced quite a hike in prices this season In truth if you just want value for money you will probably find it at Charlton, Gillingham or even West Ham With a winning team and promotion, it was psychologically a good time for Stones to increase charges so much Hopefully prices will now settle down. An increase of 40% ish can't be repeated any time soon. The higher prices will probably result in the club losing a very small proportion of support which will be more than be compensated for by fans wanting too see a higher level of football. But enough is enough, we are approaching the ceiling, beyond which further price increases could be counter productive

Surely the cost of travelling to Charlton or West Ham outweighs the rise at The Stones. Am I missing something? So clubs with massive capacities have cheaper season ticket prices than us? So what? If fans begrudge helping our owners find the money to pay for the new terrace/stand so we can actually stay in this league then so be it. The real fans will stay with the club whether we are National League Or Kent League.

I am sure you are right Steve, sharing a car will push up the overall cost by a few quid and 'real fans' will stay with the club, no matter what level of football, prices or facilities but if Stones look to achieve regular attendances of 3000 to 4000, the hardcore will be a minority as well as quality of football, value for money will enter the equation for quite a few just think that the club is getting pretty close to the price ceiling right now

I still think you're not comparing like for like. Yes Charlton, Gillingham and West Ham have cheaper season tickets at the bottom of their price range, but the majority of their season tickets are substantially more, and their on the day prices are much higher. If we had 10000 capacity stadium we could also offer a range of prices for STs which could include a cheaper option
