to be honest im a Arsenal fan and they will allways be my 1st love.As i work alot of saturdays i cant get to the emirates as much as i like,so i decided to follow my local team and have had a season ticket and not been to less than 25 games home and away for the last 15 seasons, now through no fault of our own i think attendance will drop as like myself my friend season ticket at Gills (scum) is cheaper and my brother inlaws at Charlton is nearly half ours at £175 the option for higher standard is cheaper,i think i will be going to charlton regular now and just pop down to stones on occasion.I cannot believe the league set the pricing so high when you can visit higher league clubs for less just shooting themselves in the foot really The league doesn't set season ticket prices, just individual entry, and the club needs the money for a myriad reasons from stand to pitch to budget. You're pretty much the first person I've seen complain about the price of season tickets. Once we have a 15,000 capacity stadium we can drop the price. Money is needed for different reasons. You make it sound like it is going into the directors' pockets. No-one forces anyone to buy a season ticket.

Im not complaining im stating a fact that you can watch higher league football for less and this will sway people away from buying season tickets as a explain for the slow present sales. I State again im not complain its my choice not to buy one either you buy one or you dont.

If you are an Arsenal fan first then what you are saying makes sense. If you are Maidstone first then thirteen quid or whatever a game is bloody good value in my book.

Considering we paid a tenner a game in the Ryman South...Five quid more to watch us play FOUR leagues higher really aint bad.
We aint in a regional league anymore playing teams no one has heard of. We are playing teams like Tranmere, York, Wrexham, Chester, Lincoln, Torquay, Dagenham, Aldershot etc etc..teams that 6 years ago we could of only dreamed to be in the same league as.
Each to there own i suppose, but id rather spend 315 quid on Maidstone than 175 on the current trainwreck that is Charlton.

Thats true but lets be brutally honest here most of our fans have a premier league love that they would go to every week if they could so Stones as much as i love them are my 2nd club.it was allways a cheap alternative for me but we aint cheap anymore when you consider what other clubs are offering. so therefor affecting our season tickets sales to date

I don't think any real Stones fan would swap watching Maidstone for a Premier League ticket every week. We are only one league below Blackpool who were in the Premier League a few years ago. You are a fan of the club not the league. What happens if we go up and we play Arsenal in the League Cup??

Are season ticket sales slower this year? They were probably available earlier last year as we won the Ryman Premier and did not have to wait for the play offs, additionally it may be like this year the Ryman season ended a week before the Conference season, so we knew that we would be playing in conference south last season a couple of weeks earlier than we knew we would be in conference national for next season this time around.

The thing is you're not comparing like with like. We only have 2 adult prices, £315 for ground, and £355 for main stand, Charlton have a range of prices from £175 up to over £500. So while it's true that you can watch Charlton for quite a bit less, you can also pay quite a lot more, and that's not taking into account the higher cost of a programme, food and drink is likely to be more expensive and of course you have the cost of getting there. I don't know where you got the idea Gillingham were cheaper, my father-in-law's season ticket was over £500.

i was born and raised in Newcastle, so will always have an affinity with the team but I decided a good few years back I was fed up watching over paid prima donnas going through the motions and decided to stop going to watch them, however if they are on television I will always watch them, I like to punish myself so when Maidstone moved back home in 2012 I decided I would get myself a season ticket and watch the Stones and was well and truly bitten by the bug even though they lost the first game 5-4 against Walton & Hersham. I have no desire to buy a season ticket or go and watch Newcastle even if I had the opportunity, my team is Maidstone United and I am proud to say that is who I support. I have loved every moment and look forward to supporting the Stones come what may.

The Gills "on the day" price is now £24 (£552 per season) so it makes buying a season ticket economically worthwhile. There is very little to be gained financially from a season ticket at Maidstone. I came down The Hill about 10 times last season and always thought £12 plus another £5 for my boy was great value.

Not financially perhaps, but having first dibs on a ticket for an all ticket match is a valuable asset. I have applied for my season ticket (again) even though I am likely to miss about a third of our home matches (cos I like to go on holiday a lot, and being retired I can do it!).
