Poor old Jay will struggle to get a job when you look around at the managers that are looking for work.

Meanwhile at Chesterfield Absolutely brilliant! Saturday's draw was their NINTH in a row! And only just - Hines scored from a pen in extra time. And Bromley's goal? Our old friend George Porter...

The league table can be quite misleading at times. For instance, Fleet appear to look good for a possiible play-off position at the moment - this is the reality:
(positions by points)
47 Orient 46 Salford 45 44 43 Wrexham 42 41 Fylde 40 Harrogate (1), Solihull (1) 39 38 37 36 Gateshead (1) 35 Sutton (1), Eastleigh 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 Ebbsfleet, Boreham Wood, Barnet (2), Hartlepool 27 26 25 Barrow, Halifax (1), Aldershot 24 D&R, Bromley 23 22 21 H&W, Maidenhead (1) 20 Chesterfield 19 Maidstone 18 17 Dover 16 15 14 Braintree
(numbers in brackets are games in hand)

Stranger still - this is the current form table (6 games), listed by points:
15 D&R 14 Orient 13 12 Salford, Fylde, Eastleigh, Solihull 11 10 H&W, Ebbsfleet, Gateshead 9 Barnet, Sutton, Wrexham, Dover 8 Harrogate 7 Braintree 6 Chesterfield, Boreham Wood 5 Maidstone, Halifax, Aldershot 4 Bromley, Barrow, Maidenhead 3 2 1 0 Hartlepool

Gushing article in today's NLP praising Peter Taylor's astute management of D & R, he is, in turn, deeply appreciative of the new owners hands off support.

Gushing article in today's NLP praising Peter Taylor's astute management of D & R, he is, in turn, deeply appreciative of the new owners hands off support. They were deep in the shit, when we were hovering above it and thinking we were safe. But they did what we needed to do - won 6 of their next 7 games - and now they are well clear and coasting towards the play-offs. Whilst we are... All about timing too - you can do a D&R-style great escape reltively easily before mid-season, far from so easy after Christmas. Expect to see Dover float past us next, and then we'll be in a 4 month long scrap with 4 or 5 other crap teams to see who can beat the odds. Remind me - just how much better is this than under Jay...
