Aside from it showing us losing...
I couldn't see the score and barley could see the time. I hope if we do end up with this screen we have our score and time larger - like on Saturday.
Who on earth decided it would be a good idea to reduce the size of the team names and stick an amber colour behind a white number?! Pointless. Would prefer no scoreboard then one like tonight.
Anyone agree tonight's display (screen) was useless? The time doesn't even run over 45' or 90'

Wonder what would happen to the shiny new £100,000 scoreboard if a badly aimed clearance hit it at full force.

The FA rules don't allow stadium scoreboards to run over 45 or 90 minutes. It's the same anywhere in the country.

I have glasses. Ironically.
But the brightness and the white score on Amber/red background made the score very hard to see

Wonder what would happen to the shiny new £100,000 scoreboard if a badly aimed clearance hit it at full force. I very much doubt we're buying the thing. I presume it is being run by a company who will sell the advertising on it? At a time when we need to save every spare penny to develop the ground if we get promoted, I would find it hard to believe we'd even consider blowing a load of cash on something we clearly don't need.

Fortunately it's not down to you to decide what the club spends it's money on. The owners will decide what we do or don't need and spend their money accordingly.

At a time when we need to save every spare penny to develop the ground if we get promoted, I would find it hard to believe we'd even consider blowing a load of cash on something we clearly don't need. In my business life I have come across companies who make their money by finding locations for electronic boards that display advertising, that they sell. It just crossed my mind that this might be a similar arrangement, whereby a company says to the club, we can provide you with an electronic scoreboard provided we can run adverts on it. That may not be the case but it is a possibility. You say 'fortunately' it's not down to me, Dave, well I presume in that case you think it would be a good use of a serious amount of money to buy that thing when we're faced with a 1.5 million pound bill to bring the stadium capacity up to 4,000. We will have to disagree on that one I'm afraid. I have been running my own (successful) businesses for the last twelve years so I do have some idea what I'm talking about. If it really does cost 100K, even a reasonably healthy take up on advertising would probably take 4 - 5 years to raise enough revenue to cover the purchase cost. It might also take us that long to save the money we need to upgrade the ground, given our current net operating profits. I would therefore suggest this isn't the right time to be 'investing' in a scoreboard.

I saw one advert for industrial doors, and wondered who on earth is going to buy one based on an advert at a football match. I'm a little light sensitive so may have been the only one whose retinas were burning, but you could use that thing to guide jumbo jets to land on the pitch.
