Getting back OT - probably not a candidate for the Hall of Fame, but what's the opinion of Richard Sinden? I never saw him play for Maidstone - the only reason I know of him is that he was at school with my eldest and played in the same youth team (Barming) - basically they won when he was in the side, and they lost when he wasn't! He was offered an apprenticeship at Forest, but was released 4 years later. After that I'm not sure where he went, but he carried on playing and eventually appeared for us for a while during the Wilderness Years. The last I heard of him he was playing or coaching at Tunbridge Wells, but I'm not sure if he's still there. As a kid he was a natural goal scorer, very nippy and could score almost at will. I've no idea how he matured/progressed, but I imagine he was still pretty good by the time he got to us. If you you put him in a 'Hall of Fame' he'd probably be offside!

That's a bit harsh Tim, he was a good player for us in an era when small & nippy forwards got merciless kicking's. Pleased for him that whilst with The Wells he got a few minutes game time in the Vase Final.

He was offside 99% of the time. It's just the 1% always ended with a goal

It was partly a joke but with a realism twist

Many a thing said in jest. Some people think Takaloo was a decent player. He scored a lot of goals I will admit but I also think he was a lazy donkey. The money we saved in having to buy hay for him at half time was immense

Used to like Sinders - the Kent League Andy Cole...took one in three chances,in a side that produced plenty!
Recall Whitstable( Away I think) when Ross Edwards and Sinders were effectively shown the door by being left out - ushering in our Tonbridge influx under Mess.Walker and Hulme

My dislike of takaloo is well known. The first time we got promoted from ryman 1 south he stood there in the mini pitch invasion in his underpants after giving his kit and boots away. He then genuinely turned to Pat Mullin and asked if he had anymore games that season as he now had no boots. That to me is not a sign of intelligence. As I say I will never deny he was a very prolific goalscorer but I also think he was a donkey

Journalistic licence used there
"The angry exchange between the talented player - nicknamed Mo Takaloo - and Roland Arnold was captured on a mobile phone and played to Canterbury Crown Court."
was the rest of written by Mr S. Fckuwit?
