Hopefully the name alone will draw a slightly bigger crowd than usual for these type of games despite the fact their name is about the only thing from the Charlton first team which will be involved.

It'll give Bradley Jordan an incentive to perform!

Will this be an all ticket affair? I don't think now is the right time to talk about your bit on the side and not ideal place to converse with her/he.

Will this be an all ticket affair? Already people have no clue as to what is happening. This is shambolic!

I think this is a good draw for us. Hopefully it will draw a crowd. The main thing we wanted was a home draw! Does anyone know when it is being played?

Or is it not that big? I was an 11 year old when we lost 2-1 to them in front of 10,700. The floodlight failure and the last rally to try for the equaliser. Great memories. Can't remember who scored that night. Flanagan and Hales getting sent off for fighting each other in the draw at The Valley. I listened to that one on the radio at my aunty's.

Funny that in our Wikipeia entry the claim is made that we sold London Road because it wasn't big enough for League Football, and yet it easily held 10,000+.
I was wandering around the site of the old ground only this morning, and it's easy to forget just how large that stadium was, especially with the running/dog track round it. I'm sure the actual pitch was bigger than the current one too. I remember a game at Ashford, who had a notoriously short pitch, where my namesake kept running off the end of the pitch because it was so much shorter than what he was used to!
I don't miss the old ground much though - with that track round it, it was a crap football stadium, and the lights were awful. Although there was the bonus, if the game was really boring, that you could look over the wall at the railway end and watch the bowling. That walk up the hill was a bugger too.
I reckon that the game could be all ticket. It will be quite a draw for Charlton fans of a certain age, and, after our cup run, I imagine there'll be quite a bit of interest from over there. Having a 'proper' club as visitors, even if it's mostly the youth team, could be quite a draw for our own fans as well. With our current limited capacity, it wouldn't take much for local Plod to work out that it might be a sell-out.
