Its still east stand first. Initially it was going to be the North stand as phase 1 but thats now phase 2. I expect the club simply had to make clear to the council what the phases were and the reasons / requirements demanded by the leagues we hope to be promoted to up to the football league.

Ah, ha - usual answer - stop using IE!!
Works fine in Firefox.
I note on the first document (of the three dated 10/12/14) that it says:
"The proposal is to improve the existing facilities for spectators by adding 350 more covered seats. It is not proposed to increase the number of spectators at the Stadium, the existing capacity of the Stadium remaining at 2,226."
I understood the whole point was to raise the capacity to the 3,000 minimum required by the Conference?

I actually followed Approved PC Support Protocol: Reinstall Reboot Don't use IE The only bit I missed out was "ensure you are touching computer at all times, then if it mysteriously starts to work, you can claim that you did something to bring this about..."

Very interesting documents - thanks Robert.
Good to see the owners are planning ahead so thoroughly. I had always assumed there simply wasn't the room (or adequate access) to take us up to L2 standards (but then I'm still not convinced we need to get 'back' into the League...)
But I am puzzled, as I posted above, about the capacity increase needed to meet Conference standards. My understanding is that the minimum capacity for Conf is 3,000, and, because we've started with Phase 2 (expanding the main stand), instead of Phase 1 (building a new north stand), we won't have met that minimum by the begining of next season. I trust Terry and Oliver to have worked out how they're going to get the capacity up to 3,000, of course, but it would be nice to know how they indend to do this.
And lastly - if I understand the Water Company map prpoerly, there is NO water main running along (or under) the west side of the stadium!! The water main (assuming it's the thick brown line) briefly runs under the corner of the stadium site (roughly where the pie shop is), but then crosses the river and runs along the opposite bank.
I await the sinsere apologies of the plonker who SHOUTED at me when I suggested low, temporary 'terracing' alomg this side iof the stadium " BECAUSE THERE'S A f**king WATER MAIN UNDER THAT SIDE OF THE STADIUM!!!"...

These new plans are very exciting. I love the plans for the townend. Can't see that being done for a while yet though.
So if all goes well in the summer of 2015 the extension of the east stand and extra turnstile should be completed. This will add 438 more seats.
Does anyone know with the improved facilities(entrances/exits) what the maximum capacity will be for the 2015/2016 season. I thought I read circa 3000 somewhere.

Conference minimum is supposed to be 3,000. But I don't know if this is true, or, even if it is, if it applies straight away. If you read the last page of the larger document (the second one, I think), it goes into some detail regarding the requirements for L2, and when they have to be met by. Basically, we can be allowed in quite a bit short of required capacity (etc), but we then have to meet certain targets by the end of the first, second and third seasons. We'll need most, if not all, of the plans to be in place by then. Although I don't think we're likely to see much in the way of development on the river side, even if we get into L2. According to the plans, we can raise our capacity to 6,000+ without developing that side. The problem will come if we have to convert standing terracing into seating, as that lowers capacity. If we have to go all-seater eventually, then I think the river side will have to be developed too. But, what a nice problem to have!

The east stand extension will alleviate problems of poor sight lines for many but will also see the grounds capacity rise to the requirement for conference footy next season or soon after IF turnstiles are put in at the North end of Whatman Way as shown in the plans for North stand development. Refreshments etc for away fans will also be needed. I think the north stand development itself will be 1-2 years away unless of course some mega-rich chap can chuck in the cash in return for sponsorship of new stands for the next 20 years or so!
At the meeting Oliver mentioned that factors that reduce capacity among others are number of turnstiles. Apparently you should have 1 per 600 supporters. So should be just a case of putting those in which will also comply with the need to segregate.
As to the services on the riverside. Its always been said their is a pipe running that side of the ground as the council insisted nothing other than hard standing can be put there until such service pipes are moved. Was it a water main as seems to have been what most on here thought or maybe Gas or Electricity.
Southern water appear not to have anything so will have to wait and see what others report.
