There's been a few disagreements over us having a Plan B in the past, but whatever peoples thoughts have been previously it's got to be credit where it's due tonight to the manager for the changes he made.
We've been great with the system and personnel we've been playing the last few games, but Harrow came with a plan first half and really squeezed us up playing a high line. We struggled, but were unlucky to be behind.
What was great though is Jay made his move early at half time and with Jay May on we caused them many more problems forcing them on the back foot. It wasn't as pretty as we've seen recently, but we threw the kitchen sink at them second half and deserved the result we got.
I was also surprised to see Bodders come off, but again Ashley Miller made a great difference and made the first with his pace and directness.
Well done the lads on a great win and well done Jay for taking the game by the scruff of the neck with the changes made tonight. COYS!

Agree Plan B worked a treat tonight How far off is Richard Davies? See him warming up before the game,. Do we need to replace Pooley or is Aaron Simpson up to being first choice. Thought he did well tonight after a shaky start. Team certainly have spirit these days !

When fit enough, expect him to be loaned out (Sevenoaks maybe ?). Think we do need another right back, as Simpson is a good prospect, but prone to mistakes at the moment.

Agreed we have certainly been more open to different systems this season and have been quicker to change tactics, it cant be a coincidence that Nicky Southall and Jamie Coyle have joined the set up So well done to Jay and his team!

So if a tactic is clearly not working then you would continue with it until the end of the match? What a clever idea

Not at all, I just don't get why everything has to labelled and over analysed, by people who think they know better than the manager. If they're so great, why aren't they managing a team? Because they don't know ad much as they think.

So wanting to change from a tactic that isn't working to another one that might is over-analysing. The reality is that there could be a myriad of reasons why some people are not managing it could be that they don't want to or that life never threw that chance at them. I hate to point out but people banged on about not changing tactics as we continually drew at home last season. Last night this advice was followed. Maybe those people do know as much as they think and you don't. Anyway, if you are so busy telling people they are wrong then why ain't you managing?

I never said we shouldn't change tactics. What I can't stand is people effectively saying ooh look how clever I am saying we need a plan b, and now the manager has taken my advice. It's just arrogant rubbish from udiots who somehow want to take the credit for the team's improvement, the same people who will be the first to criticize when things go wrong.

I'd be a manager but i'm so totally minted doing what i'm doing.
Plan b isn't a set plan, its just having the ideas to change the teams dynamics to suit the game and oppositions set up.

perhaps Plan B is...........Southall and Coyle, anyway whatever it is it is good to see the management being positive over substitutions when the game is getting away from us rather than just drifting along

It's just arrogant rubbish from udiots who somehow want to take the credit for the team's improvement, the same people who will be the first to criticize when things go wrong. Look below as Islandstone explains very well what plan B means. I hate to point out the obvious but last season we did not change tactics in games early enough or at all and ended up drawing/losing. Against Harrow we obviously did (although I don't know because I wasn't there). Therefore the people who kept on about plan B (i.e. change tactics) were right on that occasion and can feel a bit smug. Just beacause you are a football manager doesn't mean you get it right all the time and it is a bit of an arrogant statement to say that people who watch and/or played for years know nothing about football and are always wrong unless they agree with the manager.
