Couldn't go. Last time we were playing Kingstonian I didn't make it because of a broken alternator. Tonight I have a broken alternator!

Well, you all missed a cracking game - a brilliant first game of the season for me.
It had everything - excellent opposition (in the first half), good football, tons of commitment, Maidstone playing as a team, all working for each other (and some top notch defending), silly goals, easy goals and amazing goals, a ridiculously small player (their no 12), the fattest bottom I've seen on a footballer in many years (their no 9), an easy win, and, paradoxically, even a stressful few minutes when we'd taken off both our strikers and just gifted them a goal.
And my daughter guessed the attendance exactly!
The only downside was the new burger bar at the town end - it took the whole of half-time just to get served, One person serving! Slowly!

'One', should not have been started with a capital letter or there should have been a full stop preceding it.

Couldn't go as always due to a pond being in the way, but caught the second half on Stones Live and it sounded like a very entertaining half.

This is sounding great after the ease with which we beat Enfield on Saturday.

'One', should not have been started with a capital letter or there should have been a full stop preceding it. or... it could just have been a typo. I'm having to use the Hungarian keyboard template, as the 'y' key is buggered on this laptop (the z and the y are swapped round for some reason on Hungarian keyboards), so just accidentally capitalising one letter is pretty good going! You old curmudgeon.

Brilliant night at the Gallagher tonight, it had all the making of a "banana skin" at the start and the first half was evenly contested, they had two good chances where Lee stretched himself to the limit to save two worthy goal effort. We took control early on in the second half and it was a comfortable win in the end !! Cracking goals to go with it. Everyone played superbly tonight, Kingstonian, like last season, came to us unbeaten ... they must hate that label, as once more we dented their reccord !!. Well done to Jay and the coaching staff to prepare these lads so well so far this year. "Flishy" seem to relish his new centre foward role and he scored a great goal to prove it. Great crowd and support tonight ... but what must we do to get the 3 to 5 hundred missing supporters on games like this one ?!?. Let's keep it up, a bit too early but we can all dream ... another 3 points towards our tally and a step near towards our wish to get promoted !!! ... No point in worrying what is going on with the team from the North Coastal side of the County ... after all the table doesn't lie and we sit proudly on top of the pile !! C'MON YOU STONEZZZZ !!!

I am breaking my usual rule of not posting immediately after a game.
Tonight's performance was the best I have witnessed for a long time...arguably since we moved home.
Even at 0-0 I thought we had been superb. Flishy and Bodkin were unplayable in the early exchanges of the second half, and the wondergoal from Frannie just summed the night up.
Kingstonian must wonder what they have done to upset us as 3 of our best performances over the past few years have all come against them.
I have not left a game so upbeat for a long time. The standard has been set and if we maintain that then Margate have a very tough job catching us.
Well done to everyone involved. Absolutely fantastic

Sounds like you guys had a great game this evening ( thanks as always to Stones Live for the commentary ) Perhaps the ' missing ' 3 to 5 hundred had alternator things to do Frenchy ?!!! 1600 on a Tuesday night sounds like a pretty good turn out ? I guess the team is beginning to click and gel just like Jay was hoping they would ? Perhaps a Hamlet 'Pay what You Want' would fill the Stadium for you French on a Tuesday night ? That Margate away game on the 23rd is going to be a good marker to see just how good the Stones are especially after the Saturday trip to the Dripping Pan !!! A run in the FA Cup would be really good for the club - hope that the team don't take ' The Littlestone Minnows ' too lightly on Saturday though . Regards All. COYS.
