... Humm, just a thought ... Tonbridge ... Angels !?! ... So far a few negatives has been voiced about their team and supporters ... but if they are "Angels" ?!? ... A thought came to mind ... Are we playing a bunch of nurses in ... uniform !!! ... Who said that the French in me had disappeared !!! ... The weather doesn't look too good ! just don't let's some of you be deterred by it and let's go there in numbers to support our team, the Mighty Maidstone United, to victory and another 3 points on the board !! C'mon You Stones !!

Well according to Football Web Pages, absolutely nothing has happened in the first half. No subs, no bookings, no goals - and no crowd!
Meanwhile the Margit forwards seem to have donned their scoring boots and Lewes are down to 10 men...

Lose to a last minute goal at Tonbridge, whilst Margit bang in 5 goals AWAY.
Ah well, at least I can stop holding my breath now...

You only seem to voice your opinion when the result goes against us ... There was a crowd there ... mainly Maidstone United some of us did brave the weather condition and put our money where our mouth is by being there to give a massive vocal support to our players !! ... Wrong result for us , but if you worry so much how Margate does, go and watch them instead ...

I thought we played the ball around ok but didnt use the two wings enough where we seem to get our most joy. Especially flisher who got a lot of crosses in to no one in the box, and we had no one on the edge of the box to try and pick up the pieces. Other side we never looked like conceding a goal which is good just need to find the right formula up front. We go again Saturday

Bad loss given the identity of the opposition and the lack of ability they displayed, but a chance to get back to winning ways on Saturday will be just the tonic we need.

Our first loss today, so all my other posts over the summer and since the beginning of the season have been OK then? I would have been there, but I'm stuck over here, a thousand bloody miles away. I don't get to see the Stones again until the Kingstonian game! Been a Stone since 1980, but I guess not making today's game (and having a sense of humour) makes me not a REAL supporter...

I've defended the team and performances to the max, but today was unacceptable. I understand similar was implied in the dressing room and rightly so. I am happy to put up with defeats whenever they occur but today's performance was gutless and inexcusable. Hopefully it will act as the proverb kick up the backside we need because we are a good side and a good squad and shouldn't be turning up anywhere with performances like that. All any fan asks is that their team go out and give their all, and today is the first time I have questioned this being the case. A sad day

A sad day Don't be sad Ant, today I saw Maidstone United fans occupy both ends of a ground in large numbers proving that in amongst the scrap for bragging rights, and constant taunts regarding money, plastic pitches and players taking voluntary relegation we are bigger than our crowing neighbours. We lost the match, we came away with nothing (we deserved a point) but we have shown a massive difference in our two clubs, I'd hate it if I walked into the GS and the terraces behind each goal were full of away fans, that is humiliating.

I was a tad annoyed by the final result as neither team played well enough to deserve all 3 points. Yes Flish did have a good game stretching their full back on many occasion , but why oh why did we not use the slippy wet surface to our advantage. The keeper was not tested by enough direct shots which surely would have been a problem given how wet it was. Instead we kept with the same high crosses into no one. Even some fierce drilled crosses would have put the defenders running back under pressure. Anyway onwards to canvey and back to winning ways boys. Coys!!!

Not sad. Angry. Angry that we performed so feebly today. A certain bigwig was not impressed by this display.

I don't agree with you too often, sennockian, but spot on. I am not sad about today, but very angry. I will never slate a player or a team for not being good enough, but when they come across as not giving their all...I find unacceptable. All most fans ask is to see their team give their all..and today of all days is the first time I can say I didn't do that. No keyboard warrior going on here as I said the same to everyone I spoke to after the game...including some of the team. I'm just glad ob1 wasn't there to see it

In the cold light of day...
Anger has reduced somewhat. Nobody likes losing a local derby and I am no different. I doubt any of the players are either and I don't doubt their commitment at all. I think a few let Jay down yesterday but there's certainly no crisis despite my reaction yesterday. Onwards to Canvey on Saturday...assuming I can still stand up after the supporters game in the morning! COYS
