I suspect that it is the excitement of being back home finally dying down. I think it would have happened anyway. I have spoken to a couple of people who started coming along to pretty much every game from 2012/13 and did so again in 2013/14 but have decided to come to less games in 2014/15. if we can keep to about 1500 then we are still doing pretty well. The squad and the football is not the issue, as this is in a good state. Judging from today maybe we should play on a Sunday

I cannot put my finger on it. Since I first started coming to the Gallagher, I have introduced 2 new fans and now we never miss a home match (and have done the odd away match too).

I have been saying the same to my son each week. I don't undrstand why crowds are down. We have a better team playing much more attacking football. Weird!! Once the main stand is extended I do expect crowds to grow. Families don't want to stand with little kids that can't see the game.

I think the league management are partly responsible for this by heavily front loading the start of the season. 3 of the home games have been midweek fixtures (compared to 2 last season). We have also played 2 FA cup games at home this season bringing the total attendance to 13,868 compared to 13,126 last season (including 1 league cup game), so actually we've had 750 more through the turnstiles compared to last season. Still 15th highest nationally (and only 44 behind 12 placed Barnet) and easily the biggest in Kent, once we settle down to 1 home game every 2 weeks then that average will go up I'm sure.

I think seating arrangements will need to improve as the site lines are difficult for children younger than 12 years of age. Also some of the foul language from the town end stand could be deterring people with young families from attending our matches.

I'm all for a bit of willy-waving when boasting about great attendances (hello Margate & Tonbridge), but the only figures that matter this season are league points, followed by goal difference. Most sensible clubs plan finances on a low average attendance and no cup run. Given much higher than expected figures for the return home, I'm sure our owners have not splashed silly money in the hope of 2000+ gates every week.

I blame the fixtures some people wont bother/ arent able to go twice a week. I am a bit miffed as i bought a season ticket before the fixtures came out and as someone who doesnt go to midweek games I will have lost a lot more games this season then the Saturdays that had league fixtures that then get bumped to midweek because of cup games adds to the loss. Next season it will be a pay per game pattern for me.

I'd be interested to know how many season ticket holders we have. That money is in the clubs bank making interest or available if needed without the owner of said ticket having to turn up. I have missed three games and have a season ticket so that's £25 roughly the club have made without me even attending. As others have said attendances don't really matter, it's the performance on the pitch that counts.

Many Many factors...The fixtures so far have provided very few opposition fans, ive been to every home league game so far and id doubt that every away fan so far lumped together would provide us with around the 200 mark .Wealdstone beat that with the opening fixture last season.
So many games too choose from this season, two a week and we have seen the re-emegance of massive away days 600 plus at Tonbridge and 900 TO a thousand at Margate.
Fans and opposition wise we have been dealt a load of boring opposition so far ,it will be nice too see some noisy away fans at the gallager Ks have had the most so far but it wasn't a lot.We will have much more attractive games v the better supported clubs.
The massive gates will come again, Dulwich will hopefully bring the usual 4-500!.Bognor Bought hundreds last time.Home to gate and Mangels will also be full houses.
We will also see more turn up when all the other local games are off.
If were still up there in March/April i can see the run in of home games all being around the 2.000 plus mark.
1800 on a Sunday V a team with more flags than fans (probably 5 fans ) is a fantastic turnout.
Were still growing that's the brilliant thing

Yes some of the language could be a reason but dont keep blaming the town end for everything it only stirs up them and us problems again thank you

I have heard quite a few say they no longer bring the family as the smaller ones have real problems seeing the whole pitch as there is never any seats remaining.
