A thread for those who slate Saunders for not having a 'plan b'. I'm intrigued to know, what would your 'plan b' be instead?
This should be interesting...

Sign better players - In midfield perhaps! OK granted that can only happen this summer.

We can only sign players who are available and want to come to the club, Jays a football manager not a bloody miracle worker, one other fly in the ointment is money, the club don't have a bottomless pit of money and won't bankrupt the club chasing the dream

Why would that be impossible? Surely our club would be able to attract non injury prone players.

Well said toonarmy. I was listening to radio Kent on way home last night and they were going on about Margate allegedly signing some big players for next season and that they were going to walk the league. What happens when the money runs out because there is no way the club get big enough gates to warrant paying a player £800 a week. You need over 100 people through the gate every game just to pay his wages. I know some people can't get their heads around this but the Chairman is not going to throw big money around just because we get large crowds. We need to live within our means and if that means taking a bit longer to get into the conference then so be it.

For crying out loud, whatever plan b is it's not about signing players, it's about changing game plans and tactics when things aren't going well/right. If it was easy then people like Trigger, suffolkstone and myself wouldn't be relying on FM for our achievements

Todays game now on TV proves it's about players not tactics - Good players win matches.

No Sennockian. It is about both. I'm concerned that you believe it is one or the other. We could have Messi in our team but if he was ordered not to go past the halfway line he would be largely ineffective.
Personally, I felt we lost to a club yesterday that has an ethos I would like us to take heed of. i.e. 11 players looking comfortable on the ball and looking for opportunities off it. Decent patient passing mixed with a long pass every now and then. Last time we played a club with a similar ethos we won 4-3. Win or lose I still like the ethos of those clubs and they generally do OK. For what it is worth the champs were also very capable in the passing department and players looked comfortable off the ball. They were just more capable of resilience and grinding things out. hence, why they are champs.
I thought what we did yesterday wasn't that bad. We were just too cautious. When we needed to press later in the game we looked like we could cause a problem from Bognor. We just left it too late and they demonstrated a masterclass in winding the clock down.

Bognors left back spent more time in our half than theirs yesterday . Surely Millsy and Elliot could have been more offensive and put Bognor on the back foot. In my opinion they had to play more withdrawn to make up for the lack of pace at the heart of our defence. We also seemed slow to push up on Bognor and let them control the tempo . At times when we had the ball at their end of the pitch the back four were painfully slow in pushing towards the half way line

If that's the case, we'll win the play-offs next year against Lowestoft 3-1 with Chris Moone scoring a hat-trick...... My Football Manager says so!

I think that pretty much every facet of that assessment is spot on. Good players just make the implementation of those tactics more effective

I truly believe our group of players are the second best in this league so the question I keep asking is why is it that teams with players less able then ours keep out preforming and often beating us?
