So glad that I haven't got to put up with watching the Parkinson show anymore this season. Since he signed we have been utter shite, I truly hope that he doesn't teach the academy his style of football. The sooner we get rid the better. Seeing Watt come on today was a relief, the guy actually communicates. Just cos you have a uefa b licence doesn't make you a good footballer. Oddly enough I think Watt and Parkinson would be our best centre back pairing. Certainly looked that way when Watt came on. Did you not see, perhaps, the pass of the season from JP in the first half? Was it one of his ridiculous 80 yard efforts that land on the head of a centre half or go straight out of play?

Parkinson's big problem with a lot of his long passes is that they don't consider the capacity & capability of the recipient.
No player up front has Ashley Millers speed for example. Also we don't have a out & out defensive midfielder.

JP must be a terrible coach for our academy all those long balls being smashed down the park, the truth is we have a great academy squad coached by mr parkinson and mr saunders, top of the conference league and in the national cup final in may at crawley town fc. when you have so many players out with injuries and lets be honest they have been long term injuries watty, davies orlando nathan etc its been hard for jay to put the same team out twice in a row so to be in a cup final and in the top 5 is a remarkable effort all round. coys

Passing the ball long is required if the midfield do not drop off and pick up the ball. The pass either sets us on the attack or the Midfield are supposed to pick up the second ball or we challenge for the ball and the opposing player clears it for a throw. Standard Non League football.and a tactic many teams employ successfully against us. I am new to this forum ( bit of a technophobe) but have been watching Maidstone since the Sittingbourne and Ashfprd days. I can not believe the rubbish spouted on here by people who support the club.

A fit steve Watt would always be a central part to our success next season. But last season came to us after recovering from an injury and the same this season , time for an honest conversation between Jay and steve. This particular position in the team has caused us problems for 2 seasons now through injuries and whether or not we stick with steve may depends on the cover we have in place . i like JP proven at a much higher level but for me the defensive mid-fielder we need.

Although ultimately successful in the end with the late equaliser, I thought that we rather over-played the straight down the middle direct tactic in the last 20 minutes of the game. As we were largely effective in stretching their defence when we used the width of the pitch, which ultimately creates more room for the strikers in front of goal, the rewards might have been greater had we continued to consistently use the flanks towards the end of the game, which we did to a small extent on the left, but almost to the exclusion of the right flank where we have consistently looked threatening

Doesn't sound like I missed a lot. Quo on the other hand were fantastic. Anyone who thinks they're uncool, just ask my 23 year old daughter what she though. Very gratifying taking your daughter to dinosaur rock and she posts on facebook how good it was.

The crap some people post on here about J P is laughable i believe he does a great job and alao chips in with some vital goals Proven at a much higher level than we play at currently with Woking ( whose fans were sad to see him go i believe). The amount of stick some of our quality players get on here is borderline embarrasing at times You could argue without him we would be in a lot worse state than we currently are !? Think last tuesday night for one !
