I think most of us are worried you'll 2 time us. If it was dulwich or dover we could turn the other cheek but not them.

calaisangleterre, I once attended caen v lille (I think it was Lille). Caen won the game 1-0 with the goal coming after 14 seconds. My French friend at work told me this was, at the time, the fastest league goal in french football. Unfortunately for one Caen fan he will have enjoyed a view of my back and an English, 'sorry', for standing in his way, as I had not made it to me seat. My biggest surprise at French football was the complete lack of away fans. There could have only been about 200 at most and this was a top flight game.
Mt French club is Havre AC. I have never seen them but deliberately supported them in France to annoy my Caen supporting friend.

Today's result Maccabi Paris 0 - Calais 1 A great result for us, in a game between the sides with the two best records in 2014 (i.e. since the winter break). We took the lead, on 28', from a superb shot by Danset.Right on half-time (45') we were awarded a penalty - however, Drame's kick was saved.Although Maccabi pressed hard, in the second half, we held on for the victory.
In other results - Oissel defeated Noisy 4 - 1 to keep up the pressure on us, for second place.Bastia (b ) drew 1 - 1 with Gravelines.Arras don't play until tomorrow (against Le Havre (b) ).We remain in second (69), and with a game-in-hand on Oissel in third (65).Bastia (b) are fourth (59).
With two games left to play, it looks as though the race for second, and all relegation issues, shall go down to the wire.... How many teams get promotion at your level?

Mr Calais, I was hoping you can help; what are the chances of you winning the league/promotion next season? Need another team to add to my betting slip.

Hello Trigger - virtually zero, on the basis of the strength (or lack of it...) of our squad. We would (probably) have had a competitive CFA2 squad, but not for the higher division.Expectations are for a struggle to stay up - that's the target for the coming season.Even if we were promotion contenders, the Club hasn't the funding to take part in the National. Better of betting for relegation

I would say it was good result if it was a team made of players seeking a club. They have a lot more to gain and will try much harder than an established player.

In that case I agree it was a pretty pointless match then
