I'm sure they said the same to Fergie in his first four years at Man Utd!! Still Jays only got us promoted last year and won a cup this year. Clearly no man managing or results going on with our manager! A All down to opinion yet some on here do not understand that and have to make it personal same at the match today !!! So true, suppose your statement of nice guy not a manager was merely an opinion and not personal

I've got plenty of ambition, but Rome wasn't built in a day. My view is that you want to see progress every season and we've definitely seen that this year. Just to be clear, you'll only be happy if we get promoted every year then?

No all I want to see is progress - there has been none since the beginning of November. I heard Jay's interview yesterday on the club website. I hope he acts on what he said in his signings for next season.

So true, suppose your statement of nice guy not a manager was merely an opinion and not personal Yes , you must be from the happy to be home don't care how we do camp !!!! No ambition ! I think you will find that many of the happy to be home camp do care how we do it's just that we don't feel the need to carry on demanding that everything is delivered on a plate NOW because that is what we want. A bit like spoilt teenagers. Perhaps we are prepared to be more patient. After years of watching football at lower levels some of us are happy that we have a club and please remember that many of the happy to be home camp followed and fought for many years just to be that...Home. So when denigrating them as unambitious just remember that they were ambitious enough to watch park football and dross for many years to ensure we survived and got better in our home town. It took around 12 years and lots of sweat and tears (and journeys to unknown places) to get back to our Home town so pardon us for enjoying it. What is ruining it a little is whinging jonny come latelys moaning for the manager's head every 5 minutes or demanding that we spend over budget to buy better players because they EXPECT promotion NOW. If you want spending over budgets to get you what you want NOW I hope you are prepared to go through years of turmoil when it all goes wrong again. We have ambition. We just have a more level-headed view than hysterical moaning of how it should be achieved. I mean, blow those third-in-the-league Bognor lot for daring to come and play some decent football and win. Sack everyone!

Just to be clear, you'll only be happy if we get promoted every year then? No not the case but we have been very poor have good players just not playing as a team !! But people like you demand we get the best in NOW. So we get the likes of Luke Rooney. They stay a month or so and then go to a bigger club (yes there are bigger clubs out there). Anyone who knows anything about football knows you a settled side does better and gets in a rythm. Jay has played some younger players to cover gaps through injury and suspension and I see one of your 'ambitious' lot criticising that and saying we need more experienced payers. Perhaps you should accept that there have been sides in this league that have had better players than us and sides that have been much more settled than us. We are about where we should be over the season, sniffing around the play-offs. I will be disappointed if we don't get into them but it will not be the end of the world. May I suggest moving on to support Chelsea. after all they were spitting and snarling when naughty bottom of the table SUnderland dared to beat them. You would fit in well. They're ambitious.

Adrian I would say it is a minority of new supporters not all of them, I have had the misfortune of supporting Newcastle for 30+ years, thankfully that's in the past, but I can say hand on heart i have loved supporting and following Maidstone, this last couple of years, I for one have no interest in going back to watch a load of overpaid prima donnas, the majority of fans i have met regardless of them being new or old are first class and am I proud to be part of the whole set up....COYS

You can't win anything with kids. How true those words were, I remember Alan Hansen saying that about Man Utd how right he was
