I think he's a quality player, put him up front with a Frannie Collin type striker and we would be dynamite, on the other hand if he isn't happy where he is we will never see the best of him and the sulky act is wearing thin

A quality player who could be an asset to the team, he has a natural goal scoring ability and i hope that he has a good pre season and feels more at home at Maidstone, I do agree he doesn't help himself sometimes when he comes across as miserable or not interested, I think unfortunately this is a trait of his and I don't think we will every Change that, if he is back next season and of course he should be as he is under contract we need to support him as I reckon he needs that to feel like he is wanted, I realise people have already made their minds up but I know of people who didn't have a good word to say about Danny Lye but their opinions have changed due to his recent performances

King needs to sort his problems out. He is good but he needs to stop sulking. He gave his trophy away. He didn't go out with the lads to celebrate. Doesn't look good. On the other hand Danny Lye is what we need more of. He didn't moan when he wasn't playing and now he is he has taken his chance. He deserves a contract. Great to have around the place as we witnessed Saturday evening.

Great to have around the place as we witnessed Saturday evening. Often caught in possession or giving the ball away with poor passing but great on a night out. Not sure how long we'd remain Ryman Prem on that

Adrian, Mr Lye has been absolutely fantastic, he was immense against Horsham and that continued throughout the play offs, he was one of our stronger players and he will be an asset next season

I preferred the initial idea on the other forum that we get King as a consolation prize for Saturday ;D. Still feel he is the best striker in Ryman South. Even if he leaves he'll be onto another Ryman Premier League side (unless Cugley works some magic). But if he isn't settled, then he isn't settled. End of story

Excellent player.
11 goals in 19 starts, not bad for perceived by some as showing little interest in being here!

What Ragstone said.
I couldn't care less if he doesn't awknowldge the support / runs around like a headless chicken / show some pash-un innit / is a lovely, lovely boy.
As long as he does the job he was brought in to do it's all good, and the goals/starts says he's doing just that.
Look at the most successful F1 drivers all petulent little shits, same goes for the top end footy players. You don't get to the top been nice.
I want him to be thouroughly peed off if he's not playing.

Well done Ragstone and Heathside, quality player who has done the business despite chopping and changing to keep 5 strikers happy (debatable approach). Always amazes how some people haven't a clue, but then not everyone can know the game I suppose.

...is our resident tortured genius, a confidence player, who's quite possibly lacking in confidence due to the chopping and changing of line ups but a player who needs to feel loved & wanted and who knows where the back of the net is too given the chance !!
Though of course it's not easy keeping so many forwards happy and interested I'd imagine, some players cope with squad rotation and some just need to feel valued

Exactly what I have been saying since we signed him, he needs to feel wanted and yes loved, it didn't help him that a few weeks after signing him somebody decides to put on the forum is King a waste of money, he isn't and will prove his worth
