Torquay's recent form is not great, just five points from their last six games, with an average score of 1-2. About the opposite of ours, plus it is a long away trip that few of their fans are likely to make. So, stats point strongly towards a 2-1 win for us. Except the elephant is the room is we have yet to do a double over anyone this season and we have won, twice, down there this season. Windy weather for tonight, so safe to assume 3000 plus will not be attending, but let's hope not too many are put off by Saturday's crowd nonsense. If we can put on the sort of show seen in the first half hour against Yeovil, there might yet be the chance of another big crowd on Saturday for Hemel.

It's the most confident I have felt about a win in a while as we played so well Saturday, plus their form, so guaranteed loss. This league has a habit of being unexpected.
My main worry is that the banner I ordered about the Torquay tragedy is not going to be delivered in time - does anyone have a spare white bed sheet and a marker?

The Torquay Marine Spa tragedy is probably too big for a phone screen. May we always show respects to young John Moran who died in 1971. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torquay_Marine_SpaIf we win, it could be another managerial casualty for Maidstone United.

To the Torquay forum member who has taken offence to this discussion. It was clearly aimed at our own idiots who we would mostly like to be banned but are stuck with. Chill. We hate them way more than you do.

We hate them way more than you do. Indeed, when I said "Torquay tragedy", I was unaware that there even was one. I put that as a generic term. No offence meant at all. I was just joking because if the suggestion that some wankers had looked stuff up for Yeovil in preparation. I'd like United62 and Sword65 to have a beer together tonight.

A chance for a rare 'treble'. No doubt we'll f**k it up - but you never know.
I suspect a lot of the fans will be a little distracted by the progress of another game altogether...

Is there a consensus who we want for that game?

Is there a consensus who we want for that game? It's a bugger. Coventry is nearer - which is important for those who have jobs to go to the next day - but they are also by far the stronger side. Wednesday is another hour's drive at least (and, to be honest, it's a bit of a dump - and we're not likely to get the sort of gate we got at Ipswich), but they are our best bet for another giant killing - or (more realistically) not getting thumped too badly. And, were I the sort of anorak who cares about this sort of thing, I've seen Wednesday a few times, but, even in my West Ham days, Coventry never seemed to be in the same division. Although, Wednesday would give me the 'Sheffield Double'! To be honest, neither exactly inspires me, especially on a Monday evening. I'll be there, of course, but only because it's the Cup.

I want Cov. They’ll both be thinking (and let’s be fair it is) that their replay is basically route to the last 8.

If it’s Coventry I’ll probably get away with one day off work. If it’s Sheffield I’ll definitely need two.

I want Coventry because I've already booked a hotel there!

Just seen a tweet from MUFC that the club shop will be closed tonight due to a “shortage of stock and staff”.
For god's sake - that’s like seeing the local restaurant with a sign saying “Closed for lunch”.
Sometimes, swearwords are not enough.

It’s understandable though and not knowing lead times for things, I’ll keep my powder dry.

Lots of places struggle for staff now, despite 2022's record 745,000+ net migration. I'm surprised this army of British we were promised haven't come forward
