“ Even after an historic season for @maidstoneunited there is no respite! Club staff busy preparing next season, player recruitment, solving segregation problems……..” Not sure they have “promised” anything. YES THEY HAVE ! No less than Oliver Ash, the man himself. Oliver listens to supporters opinion and grumbles and has acknowledged there are issues associated with the present segregation arrangements. Is this the same Oliver who has always been adamant that there is NO solution to the away fans problem other than what they are currently doing?

Thanks. Looks good! They appear to be spreading sand on it though, not rubber granules. Is this new or do they put the rubber stuff on afterwards? I tried Twitter, but it's very confusing if you don't use it - I can find multiple links, but none are up to date! If you have an account simply follow @maidstoeunited and you will automatically see all their posts on your feed.

Well I don't know if jdl is quoting Oliver Ash. But it must be obvious to everybody that the current segregation arrangements have some serious flaws. Oliver also knows that plenty of supporters think exactly that. He did commit to a review but was it just to kick it into the long grass, or was he serious ? You comments do cast some doubts about his intentions but I hope you are mistaken.

I’m sure Oliver genuinely wants to resolve the issue but whether it’s doable or affordable is a big question. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but (and I may be proved wrong on this) I don’t think giving away fans the town end is the answer.

You just have to ask yourself, which of the two stands holds the most spectators and which gives by far the best viewing experience.

Couldn’t have been done affordably but the cup run changed all that, so stop trying to claim credit for what was unworkable without a big cash injection.

The current set up was costing more than the fix. Families staying away due to trouble and poor views, police and stewarding costs, reputational damage, two sets of catering for 26 away fans. Just 100 fewer fans avoiding games = £1000 per game x 21 home games. Even you must admit this was the only sensible decision long term. You can thank me later.

But people need to accept that is only because we can now afford it. There always has to be this implied criticism of the club, the “ooh look at me I was right all along” attitude. Just because it’s right now doesn’t mean it was always right

I think it was infeasible to do mid-season as so many were calling for. I think regardless of cup run it would have been done but the update suggests it’s not the simple fix many were pretending it was.

You have to laugh when somebody who has been proven to be wrong all the tine, still won't admit it !
