This will come to a head when we get go up via the play offs, or much more likely, spend another season in the NLS. If we go up, it would be madness to have our barrier wankers threatening bigger tougher northern away fans every week. If we stay down, a lot of disappointed fans will question whether they want to keep paying for such a poor customer experience. You saying barriers make people braver COME ON THEN!

On the subject of paying to get in would it not help boost attendances if we dropped admission prices? Is it better to average around 2000 at £17 or 3500 at £10. You wouldn't make a loss and beer/food takings would go up plus the atmosphere would be a bit better.

Make it £30 a game and have more space, waitress service bringing drinks and vol-au-vents

Just to have a decent view and stay dry in wet weather would be nice enough.
We dont need a million pound job, just the basics will be good for our regulay riverside supporters.
No need to spend a fortune for the basics.
It seems strange that after 10 years nothing has been done to the riverside to improve the experience.

Some muddled priorities at work methinks.
Just sort the Genco out for home supporters and some cover/terrace for the riverside and its done.
Too simple ?

Its a crazy design set up. Banging up rival supporters together with a flimsy bit of netting to act as segregation. Who in earth thought that was a good idea ? Think his name rhymes with Bon Barvey

A group of our teenagers thought it would be fun to go in the town end at the end just to wind up the Chelmsford fans. Police and stewards had to intervene and they ran off laughing. Partial segregation is ridiculous. If it was felt necessary to segregate away fans for the first half, why let our idiots near them at the end? Sooner or later, someone is going to be seriously injured because whoever is in charge of public safety is deliberately taking risks.

I didn’t see any issues last night Bernie which was amazing considering Chelmsford brought a hard core of chanting fans who seemed to have free rein of the ground! Maybe most of our stupid “bait them stupid then crap myself when they come after me” kids weren’t there last night as it’s a school night but there was no trouble that I saw. Most violence was on the pitch - mostly against us - and it went unpunished most of the game until the ref suddenly remembered what he was there for! It was a good game to watch, so no crowd issues for me other than our awful repetitive swearing new song. PLEASE can someone come up with something better?

Noticed that the stewards moved to library after last night's game to ensure the feral youths were contained.

Chelmsford fans could sit/stand where they wanted. All this proves is that segregation or not, the brain dead morons will find a way. I wondered why a good portion of the Genco emptied at around 85 minutes. Now I know. Ban them for life. Personally I’d castrate the lot of them to prevent them breeding a new generation.

That’s probably going a little far. Better to encourage them to grow up into more mature fans. If it was necessary to segregate Chelmsford, give them their own stand where nobody can go anywhere near them. The acoustics of the town end mean you would hardly hear them or anything they chant. Our own kids might then concentrate on the football in front of them instead of the barrier to their left.
