Wonder if we'll see anything like 4,500+ away on a Monday night? There's going to a fair few that just can't make it - will all the people who couldn't get tickets last time make up the numbers?? It will sort out the true fans from the plastic fans I don't finish work until 2pm on a Saturday so could not go to Ipswich but go to most home games supported for 50 years and people on here and the cesspool on the Facebook page make me laugh when they go on about true fans

So if that makes them plastic fans, that must be what you are ?

It's utterly shit that we have to go to a game that will most likely attract 15k on a Monday night, just because of prima donna prem clubs. We could have played on a Saturday and had another great day out. The magic of the FA Cup. We will probably bow out this time its goodbye to interest in shitty top tier football from me.
I've now got to do loads of rearranging thanks to chappy TV schedules!

What has happened to "the greatest football competition in the world" when people have to miss a game because it clashes with work??
Having, not replays, but the actual main match on a weekday is madness.
Bloody Premier League.

It’s more loan players to ease the pressure during league games, and get the play off push back on track. George may have a little more budget to play with now, and who wouldn’t want to play for Maidstone right now? Maybe Ipswich have a couple of squad players looking for game time.

... As for the net gate receipts, I believe that a non-league side playing a Premier league or EFL side should receive 55%. If, as Bernie supposes £15 per head with 20,000 = £300,000 less vat, say, £50,000 = £250,000 from which should be deducted the away club's travel and accommodation costs and match officials' costs. Maybe net £200,000 so the Stones 55% = £110,000. The big variables would be the admission cost and number of paying spectators. Yes, Rule 221.2 (in rounds 3-6, case of tie pairing PL/EFL with non-league) the distribution of Net Gate Receipts is: 221.2.1 non-league club receives 55% 221.2.2 PL/EFL club receives 45%
So the non-league club effectively receives the FAs 10%.

Not just the Premier League bring a pain, but their media sponsors, who want to spread their live games as widely as possible. As ever, money talks. The next 'hurdle' is Tuesday night's replay when we find out if it is Sheffield or Coventry. Hope it is the latter, because Hillsborough still only has three sides, all those years after the Cup semi final disaster.

Read somewhere they close the Kop End for low attendance games.
One would hope that wouldn’t be the case for the FA Cup fifth round.

So, Coventry it is. Nearer than Sheffield and a side in the same situation as Ipswich, potentially more interested in promotion than little old Maidstone. Well, you never know...

Inevitable, I suppose. Let's hope we still do ourselves proud and don't do a Yeovil (they got to the 5th round in 48, only to be knocked out my Man U - 8 nill!).
