Sad news reaching Swordy towers of the death of long term Stones fans Lin Smith. Lin has been absent from games through illness and disabilities but many of you will know her husband Pete Smith especially those who use the supporters away travel coaches. My thoughts at this time are with Pete and his family. Lin Smith RIP😪

I am so sorry to hear this! A real friendly and nice lady who had time for everyone. Rest in peace Lin

Totally shocked, I always used to text her about coaches for Pete, I was unaware she was ill!

Ian provided a touching tribute to Lin’s contribution to Maidstone United. Unfortunately, I can’t say I heard all of it over the sound of several supporters choosing to heckle the Dartford fans instead of paying respects.

Give Dartford fans their due, they shut up during the announcement. RIP Lin and thoughts with the whole family.

Said goodbye to Lin at a service in the methodist church Brewer Street this afternoon. A large attendance of around 100 people including around 20 stones fans.RIP Lin Smith.
