So bored of the threads in this forum I thought I’d stir the memories with a team of my childhood stones favourites.
GK 1. Derek Bellotti RB 2. Jimmy McVeigh LB 3. Chris Kinnear CB 4. Kenny Hill CB 5. Mark Newson M 6. Glenn Aitken M 7. Ross Irvine M 8. Dave Crush RIP CF 9. Andy Woon F. 10. Phil Stonebridge F. 11 John Daubeny
Subs Norman and Ricky Fusco, Kenny Wallace, Colin Priestley and Barry Watling
I’m sure I’ve forgotten loads if good uns and they weren’t all at the club at the same time but these are the ones that came to my memory.
What about yours?

No place for Glenn Coupland? Of course there is NWS - I knew Id forgotten some good ones! Will never forget Glenns curling super goal (or was it a cross?) at the Valley that put us 1-0 up against Flanagan and Hales Charlton in the FA Cup when they were high in Division 2 aka the Championship and we were Conference aka National League. I also just brought to mind one Peter Silvester - a journeyman FL and Non-League player not unlike Peter Taylor who was quite handy and who I was always pleased to see on the teamsheet.

I got a photo of Mickey Angel with Les Apps in the VP Lounge a couple of season’s ago. To go alongside the one of me with Steve Butler outside his house (left) pre-museum exhibition. Anyone want to stalk him?

My father (RIP) bought me one of those kits for Xmas and I used to wear it almost every day I could. Unfortunately it wouldn’t fit me today 🤣
