From the BBC: "The ex-millionaire owner of a non-league football club is being sought by police for failing to turn up in court.
Glenn Tamplin, 57, who once owned Essex side Billericay Town, is wanted by Hertfordshire Police.
Two arrest warrants have been issued by St Albans Magistrates' Court after he failed to show up for hearings.
His court appearances related to allegations of cocaine possession and breaching a community order, the force said.
A police spokeswoman said Tamplin, whose last known addresses were in Watford and Essex, was alleged to have been in possession of the Class A drug on 9 May.
The alleged community order breach took place between 19 October and 4 November last year, she added.
Tamplin oversaw the signings of former Premier League stars Jermaine Pennant, Paul Konchesky and Jamie O'Hara during his time at the helm of Billericay Town.
He stepped away from the club in 2019 and took over fellow non-league side Romford, before leaving football altogether 16 months later." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-67720073"The ex-millionaire owner of a non-league football club" - ex-owner or ex-millionaire??

It is well documented he has psychiatric problems.
As far as I know he has not been involved in football for quite some time.
Let’s hope he finds healing and peace.

Does the National League have a “fit and proper “ test before millionaires are allowed to buy one of their clubs?

Does the National League have a “fit and proper “ test before millionaires are allowed to buy one of their clubs? Is the National League run by anyone you could call “fit and proper” to run it? Same goes for FA as well.

Feel for him. I don't think he is a malicious person and was certainly interesting. He was always liable to be in these situations given his "lifestyle".
Hope he is found by the police, punished accordingly and finds help that he clearly needs.

Let’s hope he finds healing and peace. And a board position at Gillingham

That would be the very antithesis of healing and peace.

That would be the very antithesis of healing and peace. Exactly. It wouldn't do Gillingham any good either
