And it could be worse - Sutton thrashed 0-8 in a top vs bottom game. Looking very much like both them and FGR are on their way back down again. Which is a bit worrying, as they are two of just three non-leagues sides to have been promoted to the EFL in the last 11 seasons (and the only other one was Salford...). Harrogate? Ah. You may have a point there. I tend to forget about Northerners. But I think they were bankrolled as well? So they are aother Salford - so my increasingly weak point stands. Just about. Also, they went up in the first Covid season, when less than half the games had been played, so that doesn't really count...

Unsurprisingly, George not happy. Says Bivesh needs to learn and deserved the red card. About as public rebuke as you get from George, so suspect Bivesh might be cleaning the toilets with his toothbrush next week. Bivesh has just been sent on loan to Snodland.

CORRECTION ! Bivesh was offered on loan to Snodland, but they took one look at his disciplinary record and declined the offer.

It's a good job we'll be out of the FA Cup soon, because, if George sends everybody he has issues with out on loan, he's going to have problems finding 16 first team players...

If bivesh was a red the the challenge on Corne was a red. Story of the game ( other than we were poor) most one sided ref I can remember in a long time. George is correct that Bivesh shouldn't go in like that (slightly two footed imo) but have seen far worse challenges get away with just a verbal warning and I agree the one on Corne was just as bad if not worse. The rest of the game he spent giving them free kicks for very little and couldn't wait to get his cards out for anyone in an amber shirt as well as George? ( I think).

Ultimately, Bivesh has to accept responsibility for his actions. Their first goal was a bit of a freak bounce, though he still took his chance well. We then had a couple of chances to equalise, before Bivesh was sent off and it all went tits up until half time. Suspect he will now be on the referees' wanted list, which is a shame, because we have been looking for that combative midfield role, ever since Stu Lewis left, though Booty did a fair job too, I suppose. Overall though, 11 v 11 (or indeed ten v ten) would have been much closer. However, a concern for me is that Barrow aside, we can wobble after conceding a goal and let in others before Team George gets them together for a talking to. Not enough in the way of leaders on the pitch maybe? They certainly talk to each other about staying switched on but don't always see the bigger picture maybe. Chippenham a good chance to bounce back before the Tonbridge double header and with local derbies always hard to read, a good win on Saturday could be very important.

About as public rebuke as you get from George, so suspect Bivesh might be cleaning the toilets with his toothbrush next week. It’s the one major weakness in his game at this level. I’ve always thought he was one tackle away from a card and so it proves more often than not. If he could tidy up his tackling he’d be a decent player at this level but he can’t expect to keep playing on the knife edge of a second yellow or a straight red.

Too slow in thought and too slow in movement

The second follows the first. Not necessarily but in this case, yes
