Hard to know what to make of H&W this season, other then they are having a mare. Their away form is just one draw from the last six. As our last six home league games probably still go back into last season, there is little to work on there. George will certainly be looking for a reaction tomorrow night, no doubt mentioning places against Barrow on Saturday very much up for grabs. Should at least be dry, but a frost is forecast. Will H&W come to park the bus, or will they have a go? They may have noticed that the last two who took the game to us scored five and three respectively, so putting our defence under pressure not the worst idea. That said, had we taken our chances, we could have been four or five one before they got their second on Saturday, so an open game might be good.

It would be more than disappointing to drop points tomorrow. Going for 1 - 0 win with about 1750 in attendance

On paper this should be a home banker - They have only picked up 2 points from their 10 games away this season and have only won once all season (that against Yeovil !). They have the worst defence having conceding 45 goals already whereas we have the 2nd best defensive record after Averley. However we have struggled to break teams down in the lower reaches(remember Eastbourne and Dover) and so while I am expecting a win it will probably be quite narrow.

H&W entitled to feel a bit hard done by, looking at the Tonbridge highlights. They had a player sent off after half an hour in somewhat dubious circumstances, while the penalty that open the scoring for Tonbridge looked a bit dodgy too. Two of Tonbridge's four goals came late on as HW dug in, so guess we need to be patient - or better still, get a few goals in the first half, then a few more in the second...

Havant Boss King Determined Despite Hawks' 'Painful Ride' www.thenationalleague.org.uk/havant-boss-king-determined-despite-hawks-painful--78934Their season is an absolute car crash - far worse even than our relegation season. Their highest league position has been 21st - they have literally been in the relegation zone all season. And they are bottom of every variation of the table: home and away, goals for and against. Their bizarre victory over Yeovil - of all clubs - is their only win, other than that, their points (just 6 in total) have come from three draws: Chelmsford and Taunton away, and Weymouth at home (1-1, 0-0 and 1-1). For comparson, in our relegation season last year - by far our worst in recent history - we won 5 games and drew 8, and were out of the relegation zone for nearly half the season. As for (recent) past meetings, we've played them twice in the NL (relegation season for both clubs) and seven times in the NS (incl 20-21, when the season was abandoned). Overall, it's 4 wins to us (3H 1A) and 2 for them (both away), plus 3 draws (1H 2A). They've never beaten us at home. One thing in their favour, though, they nearly always get a goal - having only failed to score in 6 games out of 21 this season. So, any rational reading of these stats says we win, probably quite easily (although, no doubt, we'll make it look hard). But... every losing streak has to end somewhere, and we are looking vulnerable at times recently. A couple of first-half goals to steady the nerves would be nice.

As the teams come out, would there is no more than a thousand spectators present. 100 in the Town End, 300 down the sides of the pitch, about the same in the Main Stand and likewise the Genco. Maybe a 100 or so more as we kick off.

Brilliant solo goal from Levi, beating half a dozen along the goal line. Havant are neat enough in midfield but lack the telling pass and easily panicked in defence.

Playing the bottom ranked side, midweek after a poor performance on the weekend most likely, but dare I say this team is lacking the characters of our last National South side? All seem like lovely lads but when you think back to the likes of Luque, Ellul, JBW, Hadler, etc there just aren't those big personalities. Even George, as much as I love him, doesn't offer the same emotional rollercoaster Hak did.

Easy to see why Havant are bottom. No cutting edge up front and a poor keeper. We were nothing special, preferring to play keep ball than being incisive. Levi the difference, though Rush, Corne and Bone did alright and Covolan was alert when he needed to be. The officials had little to do until it all kicked off near the end and the ref was very much out of her depth. Levi wasn't innocent, but their player should have gone for the way he carried on. How many season ticket holders are there? A so called attendance of just 1500 suggests there may well have been only a thousand there tonight. We are second in the table and the club deserves better.

Why do people get hung up on the attendances!
Good win. Not at our best. Could have scored 4 or 5 in the first half. Bit slack at times. In control from goal 1 really though and think we had some more gears if needs be.
H&W played good football. They need to wise up and quick. They looked like a very poor side at the back.
The Levi Zouma incident looked fun. Ref did calm it down well and the players hardly seemed that bothered other than the two themselves. Could really see what happened but it seemed Zouma has Levi by the neck.
