Any ideas on the penalty? Whatever, 1-0 and if we play like we did at the end of the half there should be a few more. That said, Eastbourne ought to have at least one of their own and assuming they come out to play now, it should be a better second half.

I couldn't see the pen (but then, without my glasses, I can't really see anything!). But thank god for it, because we didn't look remotely like scoring otherwise. Where as Eastbourne looked much better than I expected - and how the hell they didn't score two minutes in is anyone's guess.
1633 attendance - terrible, even for a Tuesday.

Overall, very efficient, but just how bad were Eastbourne? Their fans should be very worried. Maybe we could have been more ruthless and scored a few more, but another win and another notch on the unbeaten run, so well done everyone.

Stones are grinding out results well enough. Deserved the 3 points tonight against an unambitious Eastbourne oufit. Far from exciting and not too crowd pleasing but 3 points is still very welcome. Competent, well organised, hard working, efficient and difficult to beat, that's the Stones. Play off candidates for sure, so no grumbles there. Not sure we exactly look full of goals and the football doesn't come close to setting the heart racing. But George has put together a very competent looking squad that will do alright.

Nearly 1,100 season tickets holders, 50% of whom didn't attend the match, boosted the attendance. Suspect there was only a handful over 1,000 actual bodies in the Gallagher. Not great !

Times are tight. Christmas is coming up. Everything is expensive.
As for the game, first half we have away two golden chances. Covolan with a world class save and sitter missed. We were a bit too predictable. Long diagonals behind but it did seem to work, but dull though.
Penalty. Didn’t realise it was given.
Second half was a bit more entertaining. Ww got the ball down a bit more, they faded massively. Regulation 2-0 in the end. Good squad depth. More to come from this team. I like the player mix we have going into a long winter. To be where we are and not be that impressed is a good sign I think.

A bit harsh Nick, I think the team played well enough. Sole had a cracking game imo and Levi does what Levi does best. George uses him well Liked the look of Rush too, strong engine, he will only get better as he gets used to his team-mates.

Maybe not scintillating but thoroughly professional. Apart from one stunning save from Lucas and one blazed over from about four yards Eastbourne never had a shot. A bit more clinical and we could have had 5 or 6. Hit the woodwork twice and had a few poor touches in the box. The penalty was for a foul on Sol. The ref played the advantage but when we failed to score pulled it back and awarded the kick. Levi Amantchi’s goal was superb, Sole slipping the ball down the line to Aranzubía whose delivery left the striker with a chance he couldn’t really miss.

1633 attendance - terrible, even for a Tuesday. It looked a lot less than that It did. Loads of big gaps in the MS - not good when it's cold! It baffles me, after the few home games we've had, and with the team doing well, that so many ST holders don't both to turn up. I really don't understand the mentality. Makes you wonder what the turn-out for the Cup game will be. Normally, just making R2 and at home would mean easily 2,500, maybe more, but Barrow are hardly a big draw.

We did a job tonight, and we did it with some style - at times. But we also looked very pedestrian at times too. I couldn't decide whether better opponents would have beaten us or made us play better, but it is a bit worrying that we can't stuff a side as poor as Eastbourne. We have quite a few very talented players - individually good to watch - but the team doesn't really gel a lot of the time, and often isn't particularly good to watch. I don't really understand this - given how well we're doing and the number of games we've played, you would have expected us to be pretty tight-knit by now.
And what's happened to Eastbourne? They used to be a good side, never easy to beat, and pre-season rumours were that money was being put into the club and the team being rebuilt to make a play-off challenge this season - what happened to that??

Yeah I know what you mean about the talented individuals. We aren’t quite gelling in attack and the methods or play are quite agricultural and simple. I think the defence really is gelling well. We have a good squad. I am hoping we can hit a purple patch

We have a good squad. I am hoping we can hit a purple patch I thought after Worthing, we'd done just that. But it's been very hit and miss since. I'm certainly not complaining about 5th place, meanest defence in the league, and best away side, but you get the feeling that they could be even better than that - there's just something not quite working. I imagine George is wondering what it is too! Hopefully things will click soon and we'll be able to give Yeovil a run for their money.
