Sean shields signs for Tonbridge.
One thing about Jay, he doesn’t mind trying new players! Very reminiscent of his time here as searches for the right mix.
Tonbridge very much on a budget as he always releases a player before signing a new one

I seem to recall we couldn't afford his wage demands to keep him longer. Gifted player. Maybe slightly under-achieved. |

Kevin Berkoe who played for us on loan last season scored for Salford at the Weekend in their 4-2 victory at home to Crewe

Legend indeed. That moment at Stonebridge road when he saved the pen and didn't immediately realise what it meant will live with me forever. What it must have felt like to know that you’ve just got your team promoted! That day was a cracker. I remember I had my daughter (who was about 5 months old at the time) in my arms and I just got her to sleep when it went to penalties. (I remember watching live online? Or is it just the highlights I remember and I listened to it on stones live?) When we won I shouted so loud I couldn't contain myself and woke her up! Lucky the wife wasn't home lol. What a day to remember that was! Thanks Lee. |

It was a great day indeed. As I recall there wasn’t much quality on display, Bobby-Joe’s goal aside, but a great atmosphere and there’s also a fantastic video on YouTube of the reaction in the spitfire lounge to that penalty save.

It was a great day indeed. As I recall there wasn’t much quality on display, Bobby-Joe’s goal aside, but a great atmosphere and there’s also a fantastic video on YouTube of the reaction in the spitfire lounge to that penalty save. I was in the garden, supposedly working, but too distracted to actually do anything (trying to keep up with pens via the radio is a nightmare!). I'm not a particularly demonstrative person - but, if you've seen Lance in The Detectorists do the 'gold dance' - that was me! |
