A bit young to be taking a step down in his career but I wish him luck. Scottish Championship in an 11000 capacity stadium is hardly a step down! The standard is dreadful,on a par with Isthmian Oremier or maybe NLS at a push.

Let’s not forget Adam Rooney who left Aberdeen for Salford, this tends to supports Mick’s point about comparing levels between England and Scotland.

Still think Scottish Championship must be at least National League if not ELS2 standard - certainly better than NLS - so, ergo, Lamar has made a step UP, and Liam Sole at Livingston definitely has. Either way, I still wish them both all the very best and as two stars of our FA cup run and always guaranteed to attack opposing NLS defences and give them a run for their money, I always enjoyed watching them play and am gutted that neither are at the Gallagher next season and I still struggle to see why they aren't. Only Jephte offerred what they did. Maybe Chi, but dont know if we will get Tanga and Chi is another sad departure. In George we trust, I know, and players aren't loyal anymore, I know, and its normal to clear out virtually a whole squad no matter how well it did last season, I know (I think) but it will be interesting to see if George is able to bring in better players than those who served us well last year, otherwise there was no point in losing them. If the disparaging comments on this forum about Scottish football are accurate, they certainly couldn't have gone for the money!

I do tend to watch Scottish league football on BBC Alba and trust me it's pathetically bad. Why do you think non league clubs who get promoted to the Scottish league system usually sail right through the divisions. Greenock Morton are nothing but the Dog And Duck under a new name. Lamarr will do OK because he is better than the standard he is going to.

Outside the Ipswich game and his hat trick against 9 men Eastbourne, I honestly wasn't overly impressed with him. People act like he was a standout player for us when he really wasn't.
Just 3 National South goals as an attacking player says it all.

I agree that prior to the Ipswich game he was really nothing to talk positively about, but from that game on, imo, he was a much better player. It obviously gave him a huge confidence boost and rightly so.

Luque signs for Folkestone. Great signing for them. Wish him all the very best at the Alkaline. Stones legend 🤣

Stones legend 🤣 He is not a Stones legend and is now a journeyman player and I doubt Folkestone will be the last club he plays for this season. I expect to see him loaned out to Dover or Margate before long. Very few players recover from his injury and he count himself lucky that anyone is willing to take a risk with him. One thing is for certain he won't be on the grossly overpaid wage he was on with us.

Slowly sliding down the pyramid. Big shame but past his best since the injury.

Talking of ex-Stones, I'm pretty sure I saw W-S on Barracks station yesterday morning.
I'm rather hoping that's because he lives locally, not because he was visiting just up the road...
