He has a contract for next year, and if you believe what you hear they’ve also sorted him digs free of charge; especially considering he lived in Essex (or at least over the bridge that direction) before - who would say no to tripled wages and not having to pay rent? Probably frustrating for him not playing but he’s got a sweet deal.

I suspect it was just a speculative buy - try and see - or maybe just as insurance for their run-in. But, unless they suddenly start playing him properly, there'll have no real idea if he's up to NL standards by the end of the season. And they are going to have to make some pretty hard decisions about spending next season if they do go up. So I wouldn't be surprised if they do release him - the only question is will it be in April, or at Christmas? Bromley have a habit of signing players just to stop rivals signing them. Amantchi had no real pedigree before he signed for us and I expect him to end up playing back in NLS next season . Would I have him back at the Stones? Yes but on a much reduced wage to what he's on now but I would not be surprised if he turns up at Chatham or Ramsgate on silly money.

Perhaps he’s found his level.

Nice goal from Reagan Booty in Gateshead's 7-1 demolition of Hartlepool. Worth watching on YouTube for several other decent goals, the bonkers commentary and one of the worst penalty decisions you'll see in a long time. Pool were on top and leading 1-0 at the time too.

Regan Booty. Stones legend and definitely NL standard.

I see Roarie Deacon has gone back to Hak at Dulwich. Don’t expect him to score for them though! I liked Roarie but clearly at the end of his career now.

Amantchi STILL not featuring for Bloody Bromley - even on the bench. It's criminal not letting a player as good as that play - complete waste of talent.
I can't find an accurate record of our goal scorers this season, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's still our leading scorer - and he had less than half a season with us.
And think what might have happened if he'd been able to showcase his talents in our Cup run...

Ifs buts and maybes JDL but sad for him and us he has missed out on the cup run and play offs even if financially he is better off. Last night we missed him and Faal up front after Cornes 13 minute brace.

Am I the only one that does not rate Amantchi? He had no record of scoring goals before joining us and his preseason gave no hint that would change.
He never looked like a footballer but had a knack of being in the right place. The early cup game sums him up. Bone thrashed the ball at goal, it hit the post and bounced off Amantchi for the goal and no one was more surprised than him. His last game for us when he dribbled in from the wing to score must have convinced Bromley but that was his best game. I think that Faal is a much better prospect
