Amantchi, not only on the bench for the last two Bromley league games, he even got to play - came on as a 89th minute sub against Halifax, and 81st minute sub against Oldham.

Not actually a scorer, but analogous; Chris Lewington just made a point blank save tp prevent Littlehampton scoring, from which Ashford stormed up the other end and did score.
But I’m still seething that Wolves conceded two injury time goals to Coventry 🤬 in the FA Cup!

Manny Duku scored the winner for Wealdstone at afc Fylde and Kevin Berkoe scored the only goal of the game as Woking defeat Barnet.

Amantchi not even on the bench yesterday. If they aren't going to play him, why didn't they just lend him back to us for the rest of the season??

They have Michael Cheek, who is one of the best goalscorers in the National League and another forward Olufela Olomola who is having a decent season (9 goals in 22 games for Bromley)......so he never had a chance of starting games for them. He may have got a big pay rise from going to Bromley (seen it mentioned that Bromley doubled or even tripled his wages), but career wise he got bad advice from his agent. He would've been better off finishing the season with us, playing regularly, scoring goals and then got a better move in the summer.

We can’t afford his wages. There will be better prospects.

Although a second scenario is him staying with us and disappointing after his injury and not getting a better move, either staying with us, all on lower wages or moving to another less glamorous (I know) NLS side. Either way, a massive pay rise is hard to refuse and looking at his career, he may be thinking he has to grab these potential moves as they come along.

I suspect it was just a speculative buy - try and see - or maybe just as insurance for their run-in.
But, unless they suddenly start playing him properly, there'll have no real idea if he's up to NL standards by the end of the season. And they are going to have to make some pretty hard decisions about spending next season if they do go up.
So I wouldn't be surprised if they do release him - the only question is will it be in April, or at Christmas?
